No other industry has been growing so rapidly in the past ten years as the cruise ship industry. In late 2009 the era of the post 200,000-tons cruise ships began with the Royal Caribbean Cruises 220,000-tons giant "Oasis of The Seas" and in late 2010 Royal Caribbean launched her twin "Allure of the Seas" with a price tag of about $1.5 billion.

Just these two ships offer over 4000 new Royal Caribbean jobs. Cruise ships resembling giant floating hotels employ thousands of staff and crew members performing duties on job positions identical or very similar to jobs at five star hotels or resorts on land. There has never been a better time to apply for jobs on cruise ships. It is quite likely that a job that you have worked in the past will give you enough experience to qualify for various cruise line jobs. Almost every hospitality related job or job that you worked with customers or clients should give you enough experience and a serious chance to get hired for a number of cruise ship job positions.

Compared to other industries, cruise lines have a much higher employees turnover rate.
