CONSTRUCTION DETAIL:

Overall body is made of suitable thickness SS Plate with optional SS304Q or SS316Q. This equipment is normally floor mounted & flushed to wall so that operation can done from production area & services from technical area. There is option of hot water circulation by limped coil for outer body to avoid dew / moisture formation on the internal chamber of the dryer. Option of providing receiver condenser or vacuum pump to recover the harmful chemicals or expensive solvents.

Maximum contact surface for efficient heat transfer to product by giving flattened bottom of the trays & top plate of heating shelves. Heating shelf are hollow pad type of suitable thick top and bottom welded on all joints with a n annular space welded on all joints. Provision of SS baffle in annular space to guide flow of heating fluid to ensure full coverage of heat transfer area and for uniform heating. Longer & durable heating pad plates made from thick SS sheet fully argon arc gas welded & provided with S.S.304Q square rod stiffeners. For better, quick & easy maintenance heating pad plates connected to main inlet / outlet header with tri-clover fitting from out side the chamber. Gap between two heating pad plates as well as body walls ensures that condensate on side walls do not fall back in to the product trays. Provision of sight & light glass give product inspection without disturbance. Hinged ‘C’ clamp with knobs all across the door to avoid leakages.

Film and / or Sugar Coating applications on uncoated Tablets / Granules/ Pellets/ Food Products.

WORKING PRINCIPLE:
 
The Hexagonal Pan welded with conical ends is mounted horizontally within a closed enclosure with suitable mouth opening for tablets loading and unloading. The pan is having centrally deburred, electro polished, triangular pitched perforated shell to ensured the hot air flow capacity. All tables which are loaded in pan gets sprayed by coating liquid meanwhile under the action of air exhaust and negative pressure, hot air is supplied on the bed of tables.

PERFORMANCE & FEATURES:

  • All operations can be finished the operating panel PLC Based. The main machine is reliable & stable in performance.
  • Automatic airless spray gun such as Walther pilot, DeVILBISS ACG are used with Single stage or multi stage peristaltic pumps for uniform flow rate.

This Vertical Conical Screw Mixer is revolutionary mixer which has practically turned around all mixing problems of Powers mixing with variable bulk density & characteristics. The design concept is based on a quality-first philosophy. This mixer has highest demand in powder industries.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The working principle of the conical Vertical Blender mixer is three-dimensional, originated from rotating elements in combination with a conical vessel. Mixing screw conveys the product from bottom of the vessel to the product surface. The orbital arm orbits the mixing screw along the inner vessel wall causing convective mixing of particles and shear. The speed of particles in the downward mass flow when re-circulated by gravity in a conical vessel increases as the vessel diameter decreases. The result of these simultaneous actions is a fast and intensive mixing with low consumption of power together with high standards of mixing accuracy. Dry materials are charged through the top and ingredients may be added as desired without interrupting mixing cycle.  Arrangements are available for injecting liquid or paste additives in to the mix through the top or bottom of the Vessel.  The screw’s spiral action is upward, lifting ingredients from the bottom of the Vessel up through those at the top.  Discharge is at the bottom and is fast and easy. Even high heat – sensitive materials are safe with the conical unit’s gentle mixing action.  It mixes equally as well at reduced batch sizes or at full capacity, allowing wise flexibility.

CONSTRUCTION FEATURES

COVER ARRANGEMENTS:

Several standard cover arrangements are available for Vertical Blender or special covers may be provided to suit the application requirements.  On smaller models, hinged half covers are recommended.  Where ingredients are fed in to the mixer from overhead storage, or by pneumatic conveying, a 10’ flanged opening is provided.  For vacuum applications, a vacuum-tight closure is provided along with flanged minor ingredient opening, light and observation ports.  Larger vacuum units employ a domed cover.

DISCHARGE VALVES:

Four types of discharge valves are available for the larger Vertical Blender and the comb mixers.  For dry powders and pastes, the inexpensive sliding gate valve is offered.  For liquids, the rotating plug valve is recommended.  If a dead spot between the mixer cone and valve gate cannot be tolerated, the sliding plug valve is recommended.  Valves are available in different materials of construction and may be manually or pneumatically operated.

JACKET:

Dimple jacketed construction is available.  For positive directional flow of the heating or cooling medium, baffled construction is utilized.  Dimpled jackets are constructed in 125 PSI in stainless steel or C.S. Construction.

TAPERED SCREW DESIGN:

A new tapered screw is now available for the Vertical Blender.  This design, which offers a larger screw surface, mixes up to 25% faster since there is more screw area in contact with the material.  Additionally, it reduces the possibility of a “dead spot” when mixing very heavy products.  The screw near the tope of the cone is one-third the diameter of the cone, with varied pitch and normal angle of 17 degrees.  The tapered screw requires more horsepower and a larger gearbox than the conventional design because it handles a heavier load.

WORKING PRINCIPLE:
 
Tumbling Type Mixer. Rotates on its own axis, causes falling of mass in various directions by gravity. A tilting system is incorporated to give an asymmetric blending action. Blending may normally only be carried out in tilted position. It involves mixing and batch identification of the product during intermediate steps inside the sealed BIN.

CONSTRUCTION:

Cuboidal shaped body of the BIN, and cantilever, inclined docking with Blending Station. Blender body can either be free standing unit or a through wall machine & connected to Drive Unit at one end. Machine is supplied with a clamping arm for manually clamping BINS. Manhole provided on BIN allows easy access to the internal areas for faster cleaning and change over.

Application:

Material Handling Device is extensively used for Material Transfer i.e. Powder, Granules etc. at an elevated position. In Pharmaceuticals Industry, It is used to Load Powder from IPC bin to down stream operation of Sieving, Loading into Wet Granulator. It is also used to load powder into Capsule Filling Machine. Granules are also loaded into Tablet compression machine using this device. In Pharmaceutical industry, It is best suited for material transfer in dust free manner with highest adherence to validation norms.


OPERATIONS:
  • The column is swung to bring it in the loading position and locked in position by spring loaded locating pin in fixed on the column bottom flange.
  • The lifting bracket is lowered below the level of the lifting lug of the kettle.
  • The kettle (filled with paste) on the trolley is brought in to the loading position with the kettle lug above the lifting bracket of the loader.
  • The lifting arm is slightly raised so that it fit inside the lugs of the kettle. Once the bracket is firmly placed inside the lugs, loader is lifted to desired height.
  • Once the loader is raised to the desired height release the locating pin by pulling up locating pin. Swing the arm to align it to the charging port of the down steam machine (One limit switch is to be provided which is to be fixed at site after kettle discharge position is decided)Lowering the kettle by operating power pack.
  • Connect the flexible connection between the kettle & downstream the machine charging hopper if provided.
  • Release the butterfly valve of the kettle to gradually discharge the powder.
  • Once the kettle is empty close the valve, Release the locking pin as explained above & swing column back to the loading position.
  • Lower the lifting arm collect the bin into the trolley, Once kettle is placed in trolley loader the arm further to release bin from the lifting bracket.
  • Unclamp the kettle & drag it away by means of trolley.
