Dr. Jakhotiya's AGNI Model (Aggregate Growth through Networking and Innovation) is in the last phase of getting patented under Indian Patents Act. AGNI is a very comprehensive, yet simple model on Strategic Planning, Operational Benchmarking and Financial Monitoring.

He was awarded as the 'Best All India Professor of Management' by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) & also by Bombay Management Association (BMA). His research papers have won national awards. He has authored six books and monographs. His book on Strategic Financial Management is the first international book with original ideas like Owners Value Added and Girman Model. His book titled ‘Krishna – The Ultimate Idol’ analyses life & mission of Krishna as a management strategist & leader.

He designed a six-course programme on 'Business Consulting Studies' for the members of Bombay Chartered Accountants Society. He revised the syllabus of Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India. He co-authored the first Indian glossary in Management Accounting, by adding new concepts and terminologies, for the ICWAI.

Dr. Jakhotiya guided the 'Executive - Ph.D. Programme' at the University of Mumbai & SNDT. Five scholars got PH.D. under his guidance. He is associated with the Confederation of Indian Industries, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) London, Bombay Management Association etc. He conducted international workshops & seminars sponsored by CIMA.
