For Underwater or submerged repairs consider the following:- Remove all dirt, barnacles, flaking paint, and algae/seaweed from the substrate.- Wipe area with a clean cloth to remove any film on the surface. Obviously you cannot degrease underwater, but wipingand turning a clean cloth often will remove any film on the surface.- Abrade the surface if possible. (Use mechanical means or a file to accomplish.)- The oxidation can be removed by mechanical means, such as water, grit-blasting, or by chemical means.- Make the repair as soon as possible to avoid surface contamination.

Surface Preparation:
Thoroughly clean the surface with Devcon Cleaner Blend 300 to remove all oil, grease, and dirt.
Grit blast surface area with 8-40 mesh grit, or grind with a coarse wheel or abrasive disc pad, to create increased surface area for better adhesion (Caution: An abrasive disc pad can only be used provided white metal is revealed).
Desired profile is 3-5 mil, including defined edges (do not "feather-edge” epoxy).
Note: For metals exposed to sea water or other salt solution, grit-blast and high-pressure-water-blast the area, then leave overnight to allow any salts in the metal to “sweat” to the surface. Repeat blasting to “sweat out” all soluble salts.
Other Details:
Perform chloride contamination test to determine soluble salt content (should be no more than 40ppm).
Clean surface again with Devcon Cleaner Blend 300 to remove all traces of oil, grease, dust, or other foreign substances from the grit blasting.
Repair surface as soon as possible to eliminate any changes or surface contaminants.

Description: Devcon Aluminium -filled epoxy putty for dependable non rusting repairs to aluminium castings, machinery, and equipment widely used in HVAC applications.
Intended Use : Devcon Aluminium Putty is a Patch for aluminium castings; make jigs, dies, and holding fixtures.

Application Instructions: Spread mixed material on repair area and work firmly into substrate to ensure maximum surface contact. Devcon Aluminium Putty F will fully cure in 16 hours, at which time it can be machined, drilled, or painted. FOR BRIDGING LARGE GAPS OR HOLES Place fiberglass sheet, expanded metal, or mechanical fasteners between repair area and Devcon Aluminium Putty F prior to application.

Surface Preparation for Application of Devcon Flexane 80 Putty :
For METAL SURFACES, thoroughly clean area to be repaired, rebuilt, or lined with Devcon Cleaner Blend 300. Remove any oil, grease, or dirt. Roughen surface by grinding with a coarse wheel or an abrasive disc pad. To prime this surface, apply a coat of Devcon FL-10 Primer and allow to dry tack-free for 15 minutes. If the metal surface requires maximum tear resistance or is exposed to moisture, or if submerged in water, use Devcon FL-10 and Devcon FL-20 Primer.
For RUBBER SURFACES, thoroughly clean area with an abrasive pad and Devcon Cleaner Blend 300. Surface can also be roughened with a grinding wheel so that it is coarse and free from oil and dirt that may clog the "pores" of the rubber. Wipe or roughen surface with Cleaner Blend 300 until the cloth no longer picks up the colour of the rubber. The rubber should appear new or deeper in color. To prime this surface, apply a coat of Devcon FL-20 Primer and allow to dry tack free for 15-20 minutes. Use Devcon FL-40 Primer on "hard-to-bond" rubber surfaces as this gives ultimate peeler asistance. Multiple coats may be necessary for porous rubber surfaces. For MAXIMUM ADHESION, sandblast the surface with an angular abrasive until a minimum depth profile of 2-3 mils is met. Blast to near-white finish specification SSPC-SP5 (Steel Structure Painting Council). Prime surface immediately after sandblasting to prevent oxidation.

DESCRIPTION: M-SEAL PHATAPHAT is a faster setting two component, multi-purpose epoxy putty.
M-SEAL PHATAPHAT is useful in sealing, gripping, joining & insulating variety of surfaces like ferrous and non-ferrous metals, porcelain, ceramic, marble, granite, asbestos, glass, wood, and certain plastics.
M-SEAL PHATAPHAT on curing exhibits tough & long lasting bond. It sets in 25-30 minutes into a hard mass that can be drilled, filed, tapped, machined, cut and then painted. M-SEAL PHATAPHAT has very good electrical insulating properties and the cured product is resistant to moisture, heat, mild acids & alkali.
APPLICATION AREA: INDUSTRIAL: Sealing blowholes, cracks, and leakage’s in ferrous and non-ferrous castings, pumps and mould boxes etc. It gives smooth finish to joints & corners and sealing holes/cracks in wooden and metal patterns. Sealing of leakage/cracks in metal fabrications, industrial vessels, boilers, hulls of ships, boats and trawlers. Sealing water supply mains, storage tanks, concrete sewer pipes, heat exchanger coils etc. Repairing of damaged internal threads of various types of machine pumps. Sealing cracks in casings of meters/gear-box etc.
ELECTRICAL: Sealing and insulating cable terminators, cable entries into switch boxes, machines etc. Covering and insulating underground and overhead twist-joints of aluminium conductors. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: · Substrate Preparation: To get optimum results, proper substrate preparation is essential. Remove rust, dust, grease etc from the surface. Abrade the surface with sand-paper followed by degreasing with TRICHLOROETHYLENE or ACETONE.
M-SEAL PHATAPHAT consists of two parts (RESIN & HARDENER) which are supplied in the form of sticks of equal volume, individually wrapped and sealed to be mixed in the ratio of 1:1 by volume or weight. Keep the Resin & Hardener sticks side by side as illustrated on the pack. Cut equal lengths with a knife. ·
M-SEAL PHATAPHAT RESIN (Green) & HARDENER (Black) are in different contrast colours to help users to know the uniform mixing. Mix thoroughly with both hands by rolling & kneading until uniform colour is attained. It takes about 2 minutes to get a uniform mix for 50g of putty.
As soon as M-SEAL PHATAPHAT Resin/Hardener is mixed, the chemical reaction starts immediately and it is advisable to start application on clean substrate as soon as mixing is over. Spreading of adhesive is easy in the first 5 minutes. M-SEAL PHATAPHAT will totally harden in approximately one hour to an extent wherein one can start next operation viz. drilling , tapping , filing etc. · At low temperatures the curing process is slow and similarly at elevated temperatures the processing time is reduced.
