Notification: Lowering of ESI Contribution rates

AS per Ministry of Labour and Employment notification dated 15th Feb 2019 the Government has proposed to change the rule 51 of ESIC (Central) rules 1950. The following amendment shall be made:

(a) The Employer share has been reduced from existing 4.75% to 4 %.
(b) The Employee share has been reduced from existing 1.75 % to 1 %.
