• The Department of Civil Engineering has been established in the College since the year 2010. The Department is offering four years Degree Programme in Civil Engineering from the academic year 2010 – 2011 with an annual intake of 60 students.

• The department has been engaged in various activities involving industry - institute interaction, research and development, updating curriculum, improving teaching / learning process, development of students and services to society etc.

• Civil engineering department laboratories flourished with latest equipments and machineries to afford the students with practical knowledge.

• Computer laboratory at department provides internet connectivity and access to various softwares through sufficient number of computer systems having latest configuration.

• Faculty from department makes use of modern facilities and techniques during classroom teaching. Faculty regularly uses of LCD projector, power point presentations and e-learning packages.

• Industrial Visits, Talks by prominent experts in the field, Acquainting the students about the recent developments in the Industry such as emerging building trends are periodically organized for the student promotion.

• The Department also encourages its students to engage in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, essential for development, nurturing of team spirit, and developing organizational skills.

• The Civil Engineering Association was inaugurated namely “FOCUS” by eminent personalities in the field of Civil Engineering for the purpose of providing ample opportunities to the students to exhibit their talents in all the aspects. The Association organizes various activities and events, to unfold the prospects of Civil Engineering in the present day world.

• The department organizes National level Technical Symposium, every year and students from various colleges all over India take part in various technical events of the symposium.

• Department is having highly qualified, experienced faculty. The faculty is dedicated and sufficient in number. Faculty has contribution to technical journals, conferences, R& D activities etc., in Civil Engineering.

• The Department of Computer Science and Engineering since its inception in the year 2001 provides an outstanding learning environment and has been in constant pursuit of excellence. The Department offers B.E Computer Science and Engineering and M.E Pervasive Computing Technology degrees.

• The Department has a comprehensive curriculum on topics related to all aspects of Computer Hardware and Software with an emphasis on practical learning. The course structure is up-to-date and includes courses on emerging topics to equip our students with the latest developments in Computer Science and Engineering.

• The Department has well qualified and experienced Teaching and Supporting Staff members.  Our faculty members aim at delivering top class education blending their rich experience with classroom teaching.

• There is always a wide scope and opportunity for Computer Engineers.   Much of this excitement is due to the dramatic pace at which the industry is growing. Well-qualified IT professionals are in great demand both in India and abroad. Major IT companies such as TCS, CTS, Infosys, and Wipro are on a talent hunting spree. They are hiring more engineers now than they have in the past five years or so.

• Lot of importance is given to practical training which lay great stress on "hands on" experience besides a sound theoretical background, particularly in the latest topics. Short term courses and technical lectures by eminent professors and professionals are arranged on a regular basis to broaden the knowledge spectrum of students. The state-of-the-art computer centre has over 200 computers meeting up-to date Hardware, Software support to run practical sessions with 10Mbps internet connectivity.

     Our Library has 24063 volumes exclusively meant for academic purpose. Besides these, we have good Collection (Nearly 2500 Volumes) of Tamil books, Circulated to both student and staff members, with the aim or easing out their mind and make them to focus on academy side with relaxed mood. In addition to that we have palm leaves for display in Library, Stress the point to the student community how information are passed on to generation from ancient period. We have been subscribing three e-journals package  such as IEL, ASCE, ASTM and Springer (mech). We have been subscribing Seventy Four national journals. We have been a member of Delnet and British Council. Our Library gives enough backup to all academic activities, aimed at improving the standard of students  as well as staff members. Our Library environment creates ideal climate for students and staff members to carry on research activities which are further enhanced by Research and Development Department.
