Shri.M. Dwivedi , Advocate :- Mr. Dwivedi having 38 years of his diverse and rich experience as a Tax Administrator with Government of India, is a qualified Advocate. During his long span of Government Service, apart from his executive functions, he has acted as a Judge / Member of Hon'ble Settlement Commission, Mumbai. He has given his applaudable contribution, as a Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai to the Government of India in forming various taxation policies. After retirement from the post of Member (Judge), Settlement Commission, he, being a qualified advocate has been chosen to appear on behalf of Government of India before Customs, Excise & Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT) and Settlement Commission. Now, he has been practicing as an advocate on behalf on several clients from Private organisations and Presenting the cases before CESTAT and Settlement Commission.
Shri. Sanjay Kalra, Advocate :- After serving the Government of India for about 25 years, Sh. Sanjay Kalra, Advocate took voluntary retirement from Mumbai Customs and started practicing advocacy / consultancy in field of Customs, Excise and Service Tax. During his service tenure of 21 years with Mumbai Customs, he has gained vast ground level working experience in various departments of Customs like Assessment, inspection, classification, Intelligence departments, Adjudication etc. He had represented Government for period of 4 years in hundreds of cases before Hon'ble Customs, Excise, Service Tax Appellate Tribunal, Mumbai (CESTAT). He is a regular faculty in NACEN [National Academy of Customs, Excise and Narcotics] imparting training to Officers of Customs and Central Excise departments. During his career with KPS Legal, he has successfully represented hundreds of clients before various Government Authorities and CESTAT.
Shri. Ashwani Kumar Prabhakar, Advocate:- Sh. Prabhakar too is a qualified Advocate with specialisation in corporate law who has taken Voluntary Retirement from Customs, Mumbai after gaining about 25 years working experience at ground level. During his service tenure, he has shown his caliber in various sections of the Customs like Intelligence and investigation wings as well adjudication and classification etc sections. He has been a well known JDR (Junior Departmental Representative) [Department's Advocate] in CESTAT, Mumbai who has successfully argued hundreds of cases before CESTAT. Being a core member of KPS Legal’s team, now has been representing numerous clients before Customs Authorities as well as Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT).
Shri. P.S. Sastry, Consultant :- Mr. Sastry, who retired, as Assistant Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise, after serving the department for 37 years is a post graduate in English literature. Having joined the Department at the gross root level of Inspector, he rose to the rank of the Assistant Commissioner and worked for 4 years in that capacity. During the long journey, he worked in different formations, in different capacities, and enriched himself with sound knowledge and practical approach to the tax related matters.
Shri. R.T. Golani, Consultant :- Mr. Golani, who retired, as Deputy Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise, after serving the department for 38 years is a post graduate in Science. Having joined the Department at the gross root level of Preventive Officer, he rose to the Indian Revenue Service cadre and worked for 6 years in that cadre with Central Excise, Custom & Service Tax Departments. During the long Journey he worked in different formations, in different capacities, and enriched himself through knowledge and practical approach to the tax related matters.
