Dermikem KT 5 Cream is a combination of five medicines : Ketoconazole, Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin), Tolnaftate, Neomycin, and Clobetasol. Ketoconazole and tolnaftate is an antifungal medication. It kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying its cell membrane, thereby treating your skin infection. Clioquinol belongs to a category of drugs called hydroxyquinoline antifungal agents. It acts by interacting with DNA synthesis thus killing the fungi that are responsible for causing the infection. Neomycin is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Clobetasol is a steroid. It works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers that make the skin red, swollen and itchy.

CLOCIP L CREAM contains Luliconazole, which belongs to the group of medicines called Topical Antifungal agents. It is used in the treatment of various fungal infections such as tinea pedis (fungal infection between the toes), tinea cruris (red and itchy rash in the warm and moist areas of the body) and tinea corporis (ringworm fungal infection). Fungal infections can be contagious and spread from one person to another person.

CLOCIP L CREAM is not recommended for use by pregnant and breastfeeding women unless considered clearly necessary. CLOCIP L CREAM is not recommended for use in children 12 years of age and below unless clearly necessary. CLOCIP L CREAM should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years or above).

Avoid applying CLOCIP L CREAM to the eyes, mouth or vaginal region. The most common side effects of this medicine are application site reactions such as irritation, itching and stinging. Contact your physician if any of the symptoms worsen.

Lulifresh Lotion should be used in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use it more often or in higher quantity than prescribed as this will not clear your condition faster and may only increase the side effects. Skin infections will usually get better after 2 to 4 weeks of use. Let your doctor know if your condition does not improve. The effect of the medicine can be increased by keeping the affected area clean and dry, and washing hands before and after use. If you have athlete’s foot, wash your socks or tights thoroughly and change your shoes daily if possible.

The most common side effects of this medicine include burning sensation, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application and skin dryness. These are not usually serious and resolve with time. Call your doctor if these persist or bother you. Seek emergency help if you notice signs of an allergic reaction such as a rash, swelling of the lips, throat, or face, swallowing or breathing problems, and nausea. Avoid direct contact with your eyes. In case of accidental contact, wash your eyes with water and seek immediate medical attention.

It is not likely that other medicines you take by mouth or injection will affect the way this medicine works, but talk to your doctor before using it if you have recently used another medicine that contains a steroid or had an allergic reaction to another antifungal medicine. Ask your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
