SEMI AUTOMATIC BOMB CALORIMETER APPARATUS

All calculations are done Automatically by system itself and then are automatically displayed, printed and transferred to PC Micro controller based.

The standard equipment consists of chiefly the calorimeter with burner on a tripod stand, gas flowmeter (Non recording type) ad pressure governor.

This colorimeter is designed to cover a wide range between 120B.Th. U and 3000 B. Th/Cu.Ō. or 1000 and 26000 K. Cals/Cu meter. The Calorimeter mainly consist of gas combustion chamber, heat exchanger and water flow system.

Heat exchanger is designed for maximum heat transfer efficiency and is fabricated out of heavily tinned copper sheet. There is consist water head maintenance device provided in the feed water pipe along with

the inlet flow regulator and fitted to the outer housing of the colorimeter. the outer housing is fabricated out of stainless steel

Over-flow tube is from the constant water head device. Water head device. Water from this constant water head device enters the bottom of the heat exchanger through inlet water-flow regulator and rises slowly to escape outlet provided in the upper portion of the calorimeter.

During this flow, water is heated by the flue gases passing through the coils of heat exchange. Two thermometers are provided in the water inlet and outlet ports. The air gap between heat exchanger and outer housing acts as insulator and minimizes the heat loses.

The calorimeter is provided with a rod at the bottom for clamping the burner and an outlet for condensate form gases. The calorimeter is fitted with three legs with adjustable leveling screws.

Gas flowmeter:

it is rotary and wet type with a capacity of 1 liter/revolution this is fabricated out of stainless steel

supported on adjustable tripod stand. The meter is for use under pressure condition not exceeding 8 inches water column. When the pressure exceeds this limit suitable pressure governors to be made use for regulating the pressure.

The dial is graduated with a smallest division of 0.02 liter and has an accuracy of 0.5% of full scale. The meter is supplied with a spirit level and a thermometer 0-50C sheathed in metl pipe.

BOMB CALORIMETER APPARATUS

It is used for determination of calorific value of liquid & Solid fuels. The Instrument consists S.S. Body made out of corrosion resisting stainless steel Rod cap. 300 ml, Calorimeter vessel, outer Jacket with insulated Body, offset stirrer, S.S. Crucible, pellet press, ignition wire, and pressure gauge, with flexible pipes, with electronic firing unit.

MELTING POINT APPARATUS

This apparatus consists of a cylindrical block of Aluminium with a built in electrical heating element. The mounted Alum. block illuminates from below by a lamp fixed in its housing. The aluminium block accept three capillary tubes and mercury thermometer. The temperature is controlled by rotary switch. The magnifying lense provided for viewing objects clear. Suitable for operation on 220 Volts AC circuits.

Various Viscometers may be fixed as an internal part of bath . The bath is rectangular in shape. Inside tank made of Stainless steel sheet. On two sides toughened glass provided for full visibility of objects.

The bath is controlled by an electronic relay and Digital Controller Temperature range 5°C above room temperature to 95°C. Accuracy 0.1°C Stirring is done by a F.H.P. elect. motor stirrer. It is Supplied with Viscometer tube holders and S.S. cover.

REDWOOD VISCOMETER MULTIPLE APPARATUS, Model MIC-109

It consists, One Red Wood No.1 cup and One Red Wood No. 2 cup are installed in the bath. The bath is made from S.S. Sheet The temperature is Controlled by Electronic Digital Temperature Controller. The Stirring is done by FHP electric motor in the heating compartment. The unit has 2 sets of Oil Cup covers, thermometer Clips and ball valve. Suitable to operate on 220 volts AC Circuits.

ANILINE POINT APPARATUS :

BSC168 ANILINE POINT APPARATUS as per IP 2 & IS 1448 (P-3),
ASTM D-611 Method A complete with jacket elect heated with energy regular control (without thermometer).

REDWOOD VISCOMETERS

These viscometers are designed for viscosity tests of petroleum Products. They confirm torequirements of IP 70 (Former). Two adaption of Red Wood viscometer are available No. 1 for liquids having Red Wood flow 20 seconds to 2000 seconds and No. II for liquids whose flow time exceeds 2000 seconds. The complete outfit comprises Stainless steel bath with electrical heating arrangement suitable to operate at 220 Volts AC Mains with tap, oil cup with precision stainless steel jet, cup cover, ball valve, and thermometer-clip. Gas Flowmeter

SAYBOLT VISCOMETER APPARATUS

Made as per ASTMD-88 specifications with two jets one Universal and Furol Jets made of Stainless Steel. Stirring is done by hand with turn table arrangement (without strainer, withdrawl tube and glasswares) suitable to operate on 200 volts AC Mains. 

Pressure Governor

This is to regulate the Pressure of gas before it enters the flow meter. This is also fabricated out of stainless steel and is supplied with a beam balance of knife edge, counter balance shot tube, inlet and outlet nozzles. Since the burner nozzle is designed for 2 inches W.G. pressure the governor reduces the main pressure to 2 inches and the main pressure should not exceed 10 inches W.G. Bedsides the above three major components with their accessories, the equipment consists of Digital Display Unit with two sensors measuring inlet and outlet temperature of water and one number of 0-50 X 1 C for effluent gas and measuring jar of 2 Ltr. capacity and 50 ml capacity and rubber tubing for connection.
