Founded in 1956 and named after St.Terese of Lisieux , Lisie Hospital , one of the oldest multispeciality hospitals in Kerala , was conceived in the minds of visionaries like Arch Bishop of Ernakulam - Most Rev.Dr.Augustine Kandathil and His Eminence Cardinal Joseph Parecattil and has been ably taken forward by Directors committed to service and excellence from the Founder Director V. Rev. Msgr Antony Parackal to the present Director Rev. Fr. Thomas Vaikathuparambil.
Lisie Hospital is a tertiary care multi-speciality hospital which provides state of the art facilities and infrastructure and is steered by a team of competent and upright doctors and paramedical staff who are inspired and motivated by the management’s emphasis on “ Care with Love ”. A 12 storeyed building with additional facilities including 18 Operation theatres , is nearing completion.
Lisie has all the basic clinical and paraclinical departments led by pioneers in their respective fields , respected in medical circles for their caliber and commitment. The hospital has 18 operation theatres , 11 Intensive care units, 21 dialysis machines undertaking three shifts of Hemodialysis . Among the super specialties, the hospital provides Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurology , Neurosurgery, Urology and Nephrology, Plastic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery services.
Lisie Medical Institution is recognized by the Medical Council Of India for training Interns and Senior House officers and is accredited by the National Board of examinations for Post graduate training . It also offers various nursing and paramedical courses.
