Assembly and Function

The lever is connected on the main arm and connected to the side arm through a tie rod. To bring braking torque to desired value the compression of the spring can be adjusted. The plunger connected to the lever is drawn in to the coil when energized with AC source. The plunger is pulled out of the coil when the supply is cut off.
