Effective option for a diabetic patient because it does not raise blood sugar levels. It reduces calories intake; helps you attain and maintain a healthy body weight, and thereby lessen the risk of heart disease and diabetes.
MECHANISM OF ACTION: Ambroxol facilitates mucociliary clearance by intensifying the motion of the cilia present on the ciliated respiratory epithelium. Loratadine is a long-acting tricyclic antihistamine with selective peripheral histamine H1-receptor antagonistic activity. By reducing the viscosity of secretions, Guaiphenesin increases the efficiency of the mucociliary mechanism in removing accumulated secretions from the upper and lower airway. Guaiphenesin also acts as an expectorant and helps loosen up phlegm making it easier to cough it up.
INDICATIONS: For symptomatic relief from dry cough occurring in patients with upper respiratory infections, smoker''s cough, and allergic cough. In prevention of cough in the immediate postoperative period.
SIDE EFFECTS: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, constipation, nausea or anxiety may occur.

DESCRIPTION: Ambroxol is the metabolite of bromhexine and a mucolytic agent. Ambroxol acts as secretolytic agent used in the treatment of respiratory diseases associated with viscid or excessive mucus. Guaiphenesin is an expectorant that increases respiratory tract fluid secretions and helps loosen phlegm and bronchial secretions. Desloratadine is a non-sedating long-acting antihistamine with selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonist activity, which has demonstrated antiallergic, antihistaminic, and anti-inflammatory activity.
MECHANISM OF ACTION: Ambroxol facilitates mucociliary clearance by intensifying the motion of the cilia present on the ciliated respiratory epithelium. By reducing the viscosity of secretions, guaiphenesin increases the efficiency of the mucociliary mechanism in removing accumulated secretions from the upper and lower airway. Desloratadine is a non-sedating, long-acting histamine antagonist with selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonist activity. After oral administration, desloratadine selectively blocks peripheral histamine H1-receptors because the substance is excluded from entry to the central nervous system. Desloratadine has demonstrated antiallergic properties from in vitro studies. These include inhibiting the release of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, and IL-13 from human mast cells/basophils, as well as inhibition of the expression of the adhesion molecule P-selectin on endothelial cells.
INDICATIONS: Whooping cough, smokers dry cough, chronic cough and post-surgical cough.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS: There are no absolute contraindications but in patients with gastric ulceration relative caution should be observed. Use cautiously in pregnancy lactation. Children 6 months to 11 years of age with renal impairment.

| Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride | I.P. | 5 mg |
| Ambroxol hydrochloride | I.P. | 30 mg |
| In a flavoured mentholated syrupy base | ||
| Colour: Tartrazine and brilliant blue FCF |
DESCRIPTION: Ambroxol is the metabolite of bromhexine and a mucolytic agent. Levocetirizine, the active enantiomer of cetirizine, is an antihistamine; its principal effects are mediated via selective inhibition of H1 receptors. In vitro binding studies revealed that levocetirizine has an affinity for the human H1-receptor 2-fold higher than that of cetirizine (Ki = 3 nmol/L vs.6 nmol/L, respectively).
INDICATIONS: Indicated for the treatment of whooping cough, post-surgical cough, dry cough, smokers cough, chronic cough.
