Abalam Tablet belongs to a class of drugs called antiretrovirals used to treat HIV infection. Abalam Tablet helps decrease the chance of developing AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the immune system and destroys the white blood cells that help in fighting infection, making the individual susceptible to other infections or illnesses.

Abalam Tablet is a combination of two drugs: Abacavir and Lamivudine. Both Abacavir and Lamivudine are nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. Abalam Tablet works by interfering with the working of nucleotide and nucleoside reverse transcriptase enzymes necessary for virus reproduction. Together, Abalam Tablet helps in treating HIV infection.

Take Abalam Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Abalam Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it based on your medical condition. Sometimes, you may experience headaches, tiredness, dizziness, nausea, diarrhoea, rash, and fever. Most of these side effects of Abalam Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any components present in Abalam Tablet or other medicines or foods (e.g. soya or peanut). If you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy, please consult a doctor before taking Abalam Tablet . Avoid breastfeeding while taking Abalam Tablet as it may pass into breast milk. Abalam Tablet is not recommended for children below 18 years of age. You are advised to avoid alcohol consumption with Abalam Tablet as it may increase the risk of liver damage. Drive only if you are alert, as Abalam Tablet may cause dizziness.

Xapavir LT tablet consists of the active substance called Dolutegravir, Lamivudine, Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate. Dolutegravir is an antiviral medicine belonging to the integrase inhibitor family. Lamivudine, Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, which belongs to the antiretroviral medicine class. This medicine treats HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection in adults and children with 40kg or greater. It is a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) and works by inhibiting the enzymes (HIV reverse transcriptase), which is important for virus replication. While consuming this medicine, you may still develop infections related to HIV. Although effective antiretroviral therapy reduces the risk, HIV transmission is still possible when using this medication. Contact your doctor for more information. 

Do not take Xapavir LT tablet if you are allergic to Dolutegravir, Lamivudine, Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate, or its other medical ingredients. Patients diagnosed with pancreatitis or at risk of pancreatitis should take this combination of medicine cautiously. During this treatment, your doctor may periodically monitor your blood counts, bone mineral density, liver and kidney parameters to prevent serious complications. Notify your doctor if you have or had a history of lactic acidosis (excess lactic acid), pancreatitis (inflammation in the pancreas), bone disease (osteonecrosis - the death of bone tissue), fractures, liver (chronic hepatitis B), or kidney problems. 

Inform your doctor if you are planning to get pregnant or think you may be pregnant. Breastfeeding is not recommended while taking Xapavir LT tablet due to the potential transmission of HIV infection to the baby from mother.

Trustiva Tablet restricts the growth of HIV in the body and reduces the risk of getting HIV-related complications to improve the lifespan of an individual. The medicine should be taken in an empty stomach for better efficacy. Taking these medicines regularly at the same time increases their effectiveness. A dose of this medicine should not be missed as it can affect your recovery. It is important to complete the full course of the treatment until your doctor advises you to stop it.

Common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence, trouble sleeping, headache, rash, sinusitis. These are usually not serious, however, inform your doctor if they bother you or do not go away. This medicine can also make you feel dizzy or drowsy, so it is advised to avoid driving. In addition to that, avoid alcohol consumption as it may increase the intensity of the side effects. While on the treatment, generally, some people may experience bone pain. It can occur after starting the drug or other antiretroviral therapies. Knowing this possibility and monitoring for any signs of worsening infections or inflammatory symptoms is necessary. Report to your doctor if you have had a history of heart failure, pancreatitis, bone disease, fractures, liver or kidney problems. Patients diagnosed with pancreatitis or at risk of pancreatitis should take this combination of medicine cautiously. Adults of childbearing potential should consider using an effective contraceptive to prevent unwanted pregnancy. If you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant, your physician might suggest an alternative treatment, as this combination regimen is not recommended during early pregnancy.
