Through a great deal of perseverance in 1968, under the guidance of FACT, a thatched roof school was established in the township, with Mrs. Rajalakshmi Nair as the in-charge of the institution. The school was a dream project of Late Mr.M.K.K. Nayar, then the CMD of FACT, was aimed especially for the FACT employee’s children, became an effective one. In January 1969, the seat of the principal was first decorated and honoured by K.N.P Nair.
