The 6 Endo Pouch With Memory Wire Endo Bag (commonly referred to as the Covidien Endo Bag or endoscopic specimen retrieval bag) is a single-use, sterile specimen retrieval system used in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery. It consists of a medical-grade bag with a deployable opening that can be introduced through a standard trocar (e.g., 10 mm) into the body cavity. Once inside, the bag is opened and positioned around tissue, organs, or surgical specimens that need to be removed. The specimen is placed inside the bag and the bag is then closed to isolate and contain the tissue, which minimizes spillage, contamination, and potential spread of cells or fluid into the abdominal cavity during extraction. This makes specimen removal safer and cleaner in procedures across general surgery, gynecology, urology, bariatric surgery, and other laparoscopic applications.
