Z-Texel 60mg injection contain the active constituent cabazitaxel.
It is an anti cancer medicine used with steroid medicine prednisone or prednisolone to treat people with hormone refractory metastatic prostate cancer that has progress after treatment with other and tea cancer medication, including docetaxel.
Cancer is an abnormal and uncontrolled multiplication of cell many year stages prostate cancer need normal testosterone (male hormone)level to grow.
In hormone refractory metastatic prostrate cancer, cancer keep growing even when the amount of testosterone in the body is reduced to low level.
This medicine should not be used if you have a severe abnormal labour function or recently vaccinated against yellow fever.
It's major toxicity is including myelosupression,neurotoxicity and allergic reactions.
Neutropenia is the most common adverse reaction of Z-Texel 70mg injection.
Monitoring of complete blood counts in essential on weekly basis during cycle one and before each treatment cycle their after so that the doors can be adjusted if needed. Vaccination with a live attenuated vaccine should be avoided in patients receiving cabazitaxel, instead killed or inactivated vaccine can be administered.
