Flexure Testing Machine Electrically Operated MSW: 119FTM: Same as above but instead of a hand pumping unit, a separate electrically cum hand operated pumping unit housed in a cabinet is supplied. The pressure gauge 0-100 kn x 1 kn, on/off switch and a slow/fast level to control the rate of loading are fitted on the front panel of the pumping unit. A facility for hand operation is provided. A microswitch and relay fitted inside the pressure gauge protect the unit from overloading.

Laboratory Concrete Mixer (Motorized) MSW-122CM: Concrete mixer laboratory type electrically operated. Designed to remove the burdensome work of hand mixing.  Dead Weight Testers MSW-127DW: This device is used to maintain cell pressure constant for a long duration and the system can be used in place of conventional constant pressure system using mercury pots where certain minimum heights are required. Problems like de-aeration of the pump; leakage of mercury etc. is eliminated in this system. This unit is smaller in volume and can be used in the mobile laboratory also. This can maintain pressure in the cell up to 20kg/cm sq.  Pressure is maintained constant in the system by balancing calibrated weights on a spindle against a column of oil, operating under constant feedback.

CONSTRUCTION:

The system consists of an oil pump continuously driven by an electric motor during the test period. The internal components are housed in a strong compact housing. The piston on which weights are kept rotates with minimum friction. Transparent oil water vessel is provided to transmit pressure to the cell.  A hand pump provided facilitates priming and to maintain constant pressure during the power failure.

Flow Table Hand Operated MSW-120FTH: This is used for determining the workability of building limes.

Specifications: The flow table consists of a 30cm. dia ground and polished steel plate with three inscribed annular circles. 7, 11 and 19cm. dia. Jolting Apparatus MSW-121JA: For making standard rectangular specimens of 40 x 40 x 160mm. Of Portland and pozzolana cement mortar for determining the transverse strength.

Salient Features:

Specifications: The jolting apparatus consists of a rectangular table rigidly connected by two support arms to a spindle at a horizontal distance of 800mm from the center of the table. There is a projecting lug with a plain face on the lower face of the table beneath which is a stop with a rounded upper surface. The table can be raised and allowed to fall freely on the stop by a cam which is connected to a motor and gearbox through a V-belt and pulleys. The cam rotates at a rate of 60 rev./min. A stroke counter fitted with micro-switch is provided which stops the machine after 60 jolts. Locating pins are provided for mounting the mold compartments on the table. The mold surmounted by the hopper can be clamped rigidly to the table. Supplied complete with mold and hopper. Suitable for operation on 230 Volts, single phase.  A.C.supply.

Marshall Stability Test Apparatus MSW-128MST: The test is applicable to hot mix designs using bitumen and aggregates up to a maximum size of 25mm. In this method, the resistance to plastic deformation of the cylindrical specimen of the bituminous mixture is measured when the same is loaded at the periphery at 5 cm per min. This test procedure is used in designing and evaluating bituminous paving mixes. The test procedure is extensively used in routine test programmers for paving jobs. There are two major features of the marshal method of designing mixes namely, a) density – voids analysis b) Stability – flow tests. The marshal stability of mix is defined as a maximum load carried by a compacted specimen at a standard test temperature of 60ºC. The flow value is deformation the marshal test specimen undergoes during the loading up to the maximum load, 0.25 mm units. In this test, an attempt is made to determine optimum binder content for the type of aggregate mix and traffic intensity. Salient Features: The apparatus consists of 1)    A loading unit motorized capacity 5000kgf with two telescopic pillars and an adjustable crosshead. Lateral Extensometer MSW-123LE: Details:- This is for determining the lateral extension of 15cm dia. x 30 cm height cement concrete cylinders while testing them under compression.

Specification: The unit consists of two movable frames pivoted at one end. The extensometer is fixed to the specimen with the help of tightening screws. The lateral extension is indicated on a dial gauge of 0.001mm x 10mm is mounted on the upper ring and the tip of the dial gauge rests on an anvil. The zero on the dial gauge can be set by adjusting the anvil screw.
