Enormous Mineral Reserves

A green field White Marble mines in Chau Tien Quy Hop District, Nghe An Province, Vietnam was started by Wolkem in 2009 under the name of Lam Hong Limited., the deposit is a true repository of the highest quality Marble available in Nghe An Province and it also represents the highest quality of natural White limestone/calcite, the mines which are spread across a 45hectare area and is projected to sustain it yields well into the future

Wolkem's strength in Precipitated Calcium Carbonate(PCC)

Wolkem, started its PCC business in 2009 and its strengths are its Limestone captive mining reserves and its Research & Development centre,-the first in India, which has a 20tpd Quick Lime Plant integrated with its state of the art 4tpd Pilot PCC plant which enables it deploy new process know how on to commercial plants and also enables it to develop tailor made PCC grades. To augment to its strength is its strategic tie-up with application and process engineers from around the world.

Wolkem’s PCC is sold under the Trade Name of WOLCAL, which in particular has a high purity, super white colour, high brightness. It is available in sizes ranging from D50=1 to 0.1microns, in various shapes like scanohedral, prismatic structures etc, thus making it ideal for paper filler, paper coating, polymer, plaints, adhesives, rubber and dental care applications.

Wolkem, in 2008, started manufacturing Lime in Khimsar, Rajasthan, India, by Acquiring a Lime Plant, since the technology deployed at the plant was unique in this large and important Lime producing region of India. Our quality is at par with the Industry best, as the Lime, sold under the Trade Name of Kemolime and Limekron, is  Low Sulphur and LOI, has high reactivity and purity , thus making the lime suitable for the steel, Aluminium, Chemical, Food and Paper industry requirements, besides being used for our captive Precipitated Calcium Carbonate(PCC)plant

Wolkem also cooperates with the Steel, Aluminium, Paper and PCC customers to set up on- site Lime, Dolime and Hydrated Lime Plants within their premises.

Wolkem Consultancy Services (WCS) , a division of Wolkem India Limited (WIL) was setup in year 1997 initially to meet the in-house project evaluation and planning requirements. Accomplishing the in-house tasks, it expanded its consultancy services in year 2007 to a large customer base. In the last several years it has completed more than 40 projects for over 25 clients besides in-house projects covering mine plans, mining scheme, EIA/EMP, post mine closure plans etc. WCS laboratories, not only acquired accreditation but handled 100 environmental monitoring projects besides mineral analysis and microbiological testing. It is poised to take-up bigger challenges now. .

Accrediation & Certification

• WCS is a certified RQP from Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) for preparation of mining plans, mining schemes, progressive and final mine closure plans.
• WCS is certified by National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET) , Quality Council of India to take up mining projects, pesticides industry and pesticide specific intermediates for the environment clearance by statutory authorities.
• WCS mineral and analytical laboratory is accredited by the National Accreditation Board for testing and calibration laboratories (NABL) for mineral testing, systematic environmental data acquisition & testing for ambient air quality , stack emission, water including waste water, soil, noise etc.
• Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) has recognized WCS laboratory under water (Prevention & control of pollution) Act.,1974 & Air (Prevention & control of pollution) Act.,1981.
• WCS has recently created testing facilities for microbiological parameters meeting international standards.
