What if your mobile phone was connected to your PBX just like any other office extension? Ericsson Mobile Extension will give you this unique service. Ericsson Mobile Extension integrates mobile phones into the PBX, providing all services needed to allow your employees to become truly mobile professionals.
Benefits
- Higher Customer Satisfaction
- Improved Efficiency and Productivity
- Cost control and savings of mobile communication
How it works
Traffic to and from the mobile user passes through the Ericsson communication system allowing the system to link services to the calls. Users of the Ericsson Mobile Extension are defined just like other standard extensions. A telephone number is associated with the extension as well as the relevant class of services. The tandem function provides a true one-number solution to a Mobile Extension user. For other users of the system, the mobile user exists just like any other extension. This means that any normal service is applicable and they do not need to know that they are specifically calling a Mobile Extension.

Mobility has been adopted as an important component in today's fast moving world of communications. For some of the world's leading companies, providing an integrated mobile working environment is not only a key facility towards the employees but also an essential part of their competitive edge.
The new generation Ericsson Enterprise Mobility Gateway is an open, integrated solution providing mobile voice and data services to enterprises. It brings mobile devices and remote fixed terminals into any IP-PBX infrastructure in a way that reuses existing investments.
With the Enterprise Mobility Gateway installed, you can use your mobile device as highly-capable extensions to the corporate communications network while on the move. You will have uninterrupted access to PBX functions like directory search, conference calling as well as presence information, click-to-dial, soft buttons and dynamic mobile least-cost routing and other SIP-based services - no matter if you are using a traditional mobile phone, smart phone or laptop computer.
Having mobile devices under corporate control, your enterprise can control the usage of individual mobile devices and justify wider mobilization of the workforce. Cost predictability is improved, and because employees are more available to take calls first time, call-back costs are reduced significantly.
The Enterprise Mobility Gateway is built on open standards, with Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) as one of the core technologies. This provides a good fit with both IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) architecture and corporate IT environments.
