The days those were when advertising industry was
in its initial phase and was restricted to a few metro cities; a young
dynamic entrepreneur from Kolhapur initiated an outdoor advertising
agency. Late Mr. Jaiwantrao Pawar; who established Amar Publicity way
back in 1953. His creative mind worked restlessly introducing many
innovations in outdoor advertising. The first audio visual advertise in
south western Maharashtra is one of the example. In the initial days,
it's market spread covered Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Belgaum, Satara, Sangli
districts. Amar Publicity was associated with Maharashtra State
Transport (S. T.) for 25 years successively. It was even associated with
Kolhapur Municipal Transport (K. M. T.) for more than 15 years. As a
reward of Mr. Jaiwantrao's hard work & dedication; he was elected as
the first president of the Kolhapur Outdoor Advertising Association
established in 1998.
Mr. Jaiwantrao passed away on 6th July 1998. Then after, his younger son Rajendra taken over this business. Due to Rajendra's sincere & consistent efforts, he took Amar Publicity on national level by dealing with many corporate companies. 'New Amar Publicity' was established as a part of the overall development.
