Sri Kochukutty Vaidhyar, Marozhukayil, Vayala, had learned Ayurveda from the well known Ayurvedic scholars of his time. He started his career in 1880s giving treatments for fractures, arthritis, rheumatism, asthma, skin diseases, hepatitis, tumors, heart diseases etc. He even used to treat spinal fractures successfully. He was a man of great reputation and honour. Treating patients was a service which gave satisfaction to him; he never used it as a business to make money.

Sri Kochukutty Vaidhyars’ youngest son Sri Audhan Vaidhyar (M.M. Joseph) followed his father’s footsteps and served the local people.

At present Sri Kochukutty Vaidhyars’ grandson (youngest son of Sri Audhan Vaidhyar) Sri M J Jose is heading the institution, now known as Omshree Sidha Hospital. The reputation of the establishment has grown up through the generations. Sri M J Jose is doing a lot of research work related to the treatment of Asthma, Cancer, Piles, Migraine, Sinusitis, Skin diseases, Liver related problems, Heart Diseases, Diabetes, Arthritis, Degeneration of bones Musculoskeletal disorders, Fracture related problems etc. He has got Patents from the Government of India for many of his findings in the field of Ayurveda.
