The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at P. R. Pote College of Engineering, Amravati started functioning in July 2009. Department of computer Science and Engineering is prepared to meet the challenges and is playing a leadership role in shaping the education of the 21st century by providing unique educational & research opportunities in the forefront of computer Science and Engineering. The department has well qualified and experienced staff. The department is enriched with the laboratories of de facto standards. All the laboratories are equipped with various latest software and current hardware configurations. The students of department are trained in Computer Programming for engineering applications to meet the IT Industry challenges. Keeping in consideration students overall development the department has undertaken various personality development courses and various value added courses and also class level seminars are taken from second year level itself to improve their confidence and Technical knowledge.

In order to produce graduates who are "wired for success", the Electrical Engineering Department offers a student-oriented educational experience in preparation for the practice of engineering. We emphasizes towards design, innovation, real-world applications, evolving technologies, use of industry caliber design, simulation and analysis tools and the development of teaming, communication, and thinking skills. It is our goal to provide our students with a strong theoretical foundation, practical engineering skills, experience in interpersonal communication and teamwork, and a daily emphasis on ethics, professional conduct and critical thinking. We prepare our graduates for successful engagement in commercial and industrial enterprise, research and development, and develop our students to become entrepreneur that they will be job giver not job seeker. We emphasize and support the training necessary for practice as professional engineers.
             Electrical engineering has gone from the simple electrical circuits of Edison and Tesla, through the rocket science of Bode, Evans and Nyquist, to the complexity of integrated circuits and optoelectronics. Basic telecommunications technologies that began with Bell have blossomed into global networks with satellites, fiber optics and the Internet. Computer technology has grown exponentially and touches all of our lives with processors embedded into a vast array of devices that secure our safety and add an unprecedented measure of convenience to our lives. Electrical power systems illuminate our planet and drive our industries. As this progress conveys us into the future with new and exciting engineering challenges, Electrical Engineers from our department will be ready to meet those challenges.

The Department of ELECTRONICS & TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING aims at the synthesis of Science, Engineering and Technological aspects of Electronics. We all know that the ongoing transformation of quality of our lives is due to the recent phenomenal growth in Electronics, Information / Communication Technology and Technological convergence. Many a super-smart electronic gizmo is hitting the market every day which, hitherto, used to appear in Science fiction only. Smaller and more complex electronic devices are replacing the bigger ones. E&TC graduates find wide opportunities in the growing communications era of today. This course has been designed by the University of Amravati in consultation with senior industrialists in the Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering field. The career paths followed are diverse ranging from electronic product design to heavy electrical plant maintenance, from research to production, from technical focus to customer focus. In addition, the Department also realizes that in today’s frenetically competitive market world, the students need to be confident, organized, multi-skilled and flexible individuals apart from being imparted training in Electronic Science. The students receive training of a different kind through fusion of Science and Engineering skills of Electronics in this Department of a different kind. The department offers under-graduate program in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with well qualified and well motivated faculty members and support staff. The department has full fledged laboratories catering to the needs of department as well as the institute, with the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Electronic & Telecommunication.

Mechanical Engineering is the most sought-out branch of engineering. In the constantly evolving technological scenario Mechanical Engineering has been the very backbone of industrial infrastructure. It is an area of study in which knowledge of mathematics and science is combined together with experience and judgment for fulfilling the practical human necessities. The formal education of a Mechanical Engineer includes subjects such as Engineering Metallurgy, Strength of Materials, Theory of Machines, Design of Machine Elements, Fluid power , Heat Transfer, Manufacturing Process, and Production technology.
Apart from these conventional subjects, advanced subjects like Automation Engineering, Mechatronics and CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacturing), Industrial Management and Costing, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning are also taught as an attempt to bridge the gap between fast changing industrial scenario & university learning. Mechanical Engineers must be able to control mechanical systems and usually work with other professionals in designing these systems. They also offer their expertise in the fields of control systems, Robotics, Automobile etc.
The department is currently headed by Dr. S. G. Fale, having 26 years of industrial experience and 5.5 years of teaching & research experience and has a faculty poised to deliver quality engineering education.
Established in the year 2009 the department offers four years Bachelors Degree Program in Mechanical Engineering with an initial intake of 60 students. Intake was increased to 120 from the year 2012. Also department has Post graduate course in Thermal engineering with intake of 24 from the year 2012-13.

MBA department was established in the year 2009 with intend to provide quality management education fulfilling the requirements of the corporate world. It is our constant endeavor to enhance managerial skills among students. The MBA program imparts knowledge and training to aspiring young people in theory and practice of management. Our efforts are also geared to inculcate amid the students a sense of accountability, responsibility, flexibility and moral values. Our emphasis is on imparting conceptual and analytical study which is essential to unravel a wide range of management problems and helps to build up vision and strategic thinking. We prepare professionals with social responsibility and inherent sense of business. The learning environment comprises of various academic activities. Industrial visits to various global destinations helps the students to get acquainted with the international business scenario.

Pedagogy :

The Learning environment comprises of lectures, seminars, case studies, management games, simulation exercises, hands on computer work, group discussions, individual dissertation and 6 weeks summer training. Visits to industry and Lectures by experts from industry and academia are organized at regular basis.

Eligibility :

Graduation with 50% Marks for OPEN and 45% Marks for OBC/SC/ST candidates and score of CET CMAT Examination by AICTE. Students who have qualified MH.CET 2015, CMAT 2015 & AMMI CET 2015

Master of Computer Applications (MCA)is a three-year (six semesters) professional Master's Degree in computer science awarded in India. The course was designed to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of Information Technology. It is a postgraduate course that can be taken up after obtaining a Bachelor's Degree. The MCA programme is inclined more toward Application Development and thus has more emphasis on latest programming language and tools to develop better and faster applications.
The MCA program focuses on providing a sound theoretical background as well as good practical exposure to students in the relevant areas. It is intended to provide a modern, industry-oriented education in applied computer science. It aims at producing trained professionals who can successfully meet the demands of the information technology industry.

Objectives of the MCA course

The MCA program prepares students to take up positions as system analysts,systems designers, Programmers and managers in any field related to information technology. The program, therefore, aims at imparting comprehensive knowledge with equal emphasis on theory and practice. The MCA students are encouraged to spend a full semester working in the industry in the institute giving them insight into the workings of the IT world.

P.R.Pote college of Engineering & Management (PRPCEM) has established Civil Engineering Department having intake of 60 students every year with a vision of developing young dynamic civil engineers. Civil Engg. Dept of college is fully equipped with best position of teaching faculty, sophisticated laboratory equipments and latest computational software’s like ETAB, STAAD, SAP, AUTO CAD etc. which helps the students to develop expertise in Civil Engineering.
Civil Engineering
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, , structural engineering, earthquake engineering, transportation engineering, earth science, municipal or urban engineering, water resources engineering, materials engineering, offshore engineering, coastal engineering,surveying, and construction engineering. Civil engineering takes place in the public sector from municipal through to national governments, and in the private sector from individual homeowners through to international companies.
