Featuring enhanced radio performance and mix-and-match industrial design, the Rocket™M is ideal for deployment in Point-to-Point (PtP) bridging or Point-to-MultiPoint (PtMP) applications.
Rocket™ radios seamlessly work together with airMAX® Sector, RocketDish™, Omni and Yagi antennas for PtP and PtMP links. Every airMAX antenna has a built-in Rocket mount, so no tools are needed to install the Rocket.
Ubiquiti’s airMAX® technology is proven in millions of deployments worldwide, exhibiting outstanding performance in outdoor environments. The TDMA airMAX protocol enables unprecedented scalability, high throughput and low latency in unlicensed, multipoint networks.
Built to survive harsh environments, the Rocket™M is available in several frequency models and supports multiple channel bandwidths, depending on the specific model and local country regulations.
The airView® Spectrum Analyzer allows operators to identify noise signatures and analyze frequency usage and activity levels onsite, so new access points can be set up on the least-used channels to optimize wireless performance.
Overview:Featuring mix-and-match industrial design, the Rocket®is a Ubiquiti Networks® airMAX® BaseStation that supports speeds of up to 150+ Mbps real TCP/IP throughput. It is ideal for deployment in Point-to-Point (PtP) bridging or Point-to-MultiPoint (PtMP) airMAX applications.
Flexibility:
The Rocket is available in several frequency models: 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 3/3.65 GHz, and 5 GHz, to support your specific application. You have the freedom to locate, deploy, and operate the Rocket in these unlicensed bands (subject to local country regulations). The Rocket allows for a high degree of flexibility in configuring channel bandwidths: 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 20, 25, 30, and/or 40 MHz, depending on the specific product model and local country regulations.
Plug and Play Integration:
Rocket radios and airMAX antennas have been designed to seamlessly work together. Every airMAX Sector, RocketDish™, Omni, or Yagi antenna has a built-in Rocket mount, so installation requires no special tools. Snap the Rocket securely into place and mount the antenna; then you have the optimal combination of Rocket radio and airMAX antenna for your PtP or PtMP application.
AirMAX Technology Included Unlike standard Wi-Fi protocol, Ubiquiti’s Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) airMAX protocol allows each client to send and receive data using pre-designated time slots scheduled by an intelligent AP controller. This time slot method eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency. It provides many magnitudes of performance improvements in latency, throughput, and scalability compared to all other outdoor systems in its class. Intelligent QoS Priority is given to voice/video for seamless streaming. Scalability High capacity and scalability. Long Distance Capable of high-speed, carrier-class links
Built upon an intuitive user interface foundation, airOS® 5 is an advanced operating system for Ubiquiti airMAX M Series products.

High-Performance airMAX® Bridge:
Incorporating a dish reflector design with advanced technology, the PowerBeam™ is the latest generation of Ubiquiti Networks® airMAX® CPE for customer locations.
Ubiquiti’s InnerFeed® technology integrates the radio into the feedhorn of an antenna, so there is no need for cables to connect the radio to the antenna. This improves performance because it eliminates cable losses.
Plug and Play Installation:
The PowerBeam™ requires no tools for assembly; only a single wrench is required for pole-mounting.
The form factor of the PowerBeam™ features the highest gain for its size. The PowerBeam’s excellent beam directivity provides the best performance in high-noise environments.
Advanced Software Technology:
Ubiquiti’s airMAX® technology is proven in millions of deployments worldwide, exhibiting outstanding performance in outdoor environments. The TDMA airMAX protocol enables unprecedented scalability, high throughput and low latency in unlicensed, multipoint networks.
The PBE-RAD-400 is a protective radome that shields the radio from the elements; it is available as an optional accessory for the PowerBeam PBE-M2-400 and PBE-M5-400.
Introduction:Thank you for purchasing the Ubiquiti Networks® PowerBeam®. This Quick Start Guide is designed to guide you through installation and also includes warranty terms. If you want to add a radome to enclose the Dish Reflector, Ubiquiti Networks offers the PowerBeam Radome, 400 mm, model PBE-RAD-400 as an optional accessory. Product details are
The PBE-M5-400 Antenna Feed has a thin gray ring around the center of the cap to differentiate it from the PBE-M5-300 Antenna Feed. TERMS OF USE: Ubiquiti radio devices must be professionally installed. Shielded Ethernet cable and earth grounding must be used as conditions of product warranty. TOUGHCable™ is designed for outdoor installations. It is the professional installer’s responsibility to follow local country regulations, including operation within legal frequency channels, output power, and Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) requirements. Reset Button To reset to factory defaults, press and hold the Reset button for more than 10 seconds while the PowerBeam is powered on. Alternatively, the PowerBeam may be reset remotely via a Reset button located on the bottom of the Gigabit PoE adapter. Release Button After you assemble the PowerBeam, check the Release button; it should be fully engaged in the Release Button Slot of the Rear Housing. This ensures that the Antenna Feed is locked into place. If you need to remove the Antenna Feed, you must depress the Release button first. Application Examples The PowerBeam mounted outdoors with the Dish Reflector installed provides directional outdoor coverage (gain is reflector???dependent). The PowerBeam mounted outdoors without the Dish Reflector installed provides outdoor-to-indoor coverage using the 3 dBi Antenna Feed only.
Installation Requirements:
• 13 mm wrench
• Shielded Category 5 (or above)
cabling should be used for all wired Ethernet connections and should be grounded through the AC ground of the PoE. We recommend that you protect your networks from harmful outdoor environments and destructive ESD events with industrial grade, shielded Ethernet cable from Ubiquiti Networks. For more details
