Convenient push-style speaker terminals and curved inserts help guide speaker wire effortlessly into place. The rubber end caps on the terminal are also removable for the use of banana plugs instead of bare wire. The EM-ESL is supplied with sturdy, 3/8-16 ETC™ spikes, which can be used to fine tune vertical wave launch, enhance stability on thick carpets, and create tighter coupling between speaker and floor to provide a tighter and detailed bass performance.  Revel F206's low-frequency and midrange transducers feature distortion reduction mechanisms that stabilize the flux field during operation, assuring low distortion even at high listening volumes. All Concerta on-wall woofer, midrange and tweeter diaphragms are constructed of Micro Ceramic Composite (MCC), a new material created by anodizing both sides of an aluminum core. Anodizing both sides of an aluminum core adds strength and stiffness – but very little weight – to a material already well suited for use in transducer diaphragms.

With appropriate hardware, it’s possible to affix virtually any compact loudspeaker to a listening room wall, and manufacturers are free to promote any model of a certain size and weight as “wall-mountable.” But very few audio manufacturers have the facilities and expertise needed to determine just how their on-wall systems will sound when actually placed on or near a wall.

For the OBERON series, we constructed a new front grille design with rounded edges and an acoustically transparent fabric. The new rounded front grille adds a lighter and more contemporary look that completes the visual appearance. 'Mountain Grey' is the standard grille supplied with the light finishes (White and Light Oak), while 'Shadow Black' is standard on the dark finishes (Black Ash and Dark Walnut). For an all white look, 'Marshmallow White' is also available as an accessory.
