The MASK4C low impedance loudspeaker has a unique design and delivers a crystal clear sound for all music applications and projects. The cabinet is made of high quality enforced PP4 ABS, with an aluminium grill. The design of the MASK4C ensures high quality and long lasting performance in indoor and outdoor use, even under extreme weather conditions. The MASK4C has a powerful 4.25” coated paper cone woofer and a 1” silk dome tweeter which results in a high SPL and extremely low distortion. This ensures an unprecedented clarity over the whole frequency spectrum. The built-in Apart 3-step protection and the high-quality components make the MASK4C an ultra- reliable, fail safe loudspeaker even at high power loads. Thanks to the revolutionary design of the ClickMount bracket, the MASK4C is without a doubt the fastest and most installer friendly loudspeaker to-date. The pre-defined clicks on the ClickMount ensure a perfect alignment for every loudspeaker. With the discrete cable management system, integrated spirit level and in/out connectors, the full cabling is done on the bracket. The Folded Motion Tweeter works by moving air (which creates sound) perpendicular to the folded ridges of the diaphragm, similar to how an accordion works. This extremely low mass diaphragm "squeezes" air and requires almost 90% less excursion than the typical 1" dome tweeter, which drastically minimizes distortion while providing a lightning fast response time. The increased surface area also provides a wide, yet controlled sound dispersion to create a realistic and carefully etched sound stage.

The cone used in the RUBICON LCR draws upon the heritage from the EPICON technologies, and has a light, rigid and randomly uneven structure. This lower the complexity of the central part of the motor, ensures even piston like movements, reduces the possibility of surface resonance greatly and creates an extremely low distortion within the RUBICON LCR.

The soft low-loss rubber surround is designed and bespoke specifically for the RUBICON LCR, and all of the components are situated in an aluminum chassis designed for maximum airflow around the cone and magnet system.

The compact size of the MC-414C contradicts the performance this model offers. Its dual 4-inch aluminum cone woofers provide excellent bass and mid-range while the 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter delivers accurate and smooth treble frequencies. The MC-414C makes a great center channel complement to any pair of main speakers in the MC Series, but it can also be used for all channels to create a perfectly timbre-matched home theater system.

No. 25 marks a new standard in cabinet execution, both for its physical beauty and the manner in which it manages the critical backwave propagating from the rear surface of the massive 15″ carbon fibre piston at its heart. The shape of No. 25 is designed to disturb and cancel much of the incredible force created by the inward stroke as No. 25 reloads for your music or film’s next set of demands. It is necessary to keep this backwave as silent as possible, while allowing the driver to “breathe” without compressing dynamics. The curvilinear cabinet walls deflect, diffuse and dissipate these waves into smaller cross plane waves. Minimizing rear waves that eventually emerge as comb filtering — noise that cancels the primary bass — is what creates clear, purposeful bass that strides into a room with tremendous energy and clarity.

Comprised of 30mm thick (about 1 1/8″) Australian MDF, transected by hardwood spars that break up common mode resonances within the top surface of the cabinet and down its sidewalls, bracing is not unlike the spars in a ship’s hull. Some may view this as excessive, but these are the lengths our design team goes to to deliver the finest subwoofer extant, fully fitting of the title No. 25.

For S/812, every aspect of the previous generation’s inner workings were examined without regard to its critical and customer-driven success. REL turned a fresh eye to power requirements, driver improvements, and specialty filters, upgrading each to extract all the extra performance possible. All this alongside the cabinet refinements necessary for those upgrades to emerge cleanly. This latest S range is a triumphant development that has exceeded every expectation of our design team.

REL’s requirements were for far stronger deep bass output between 19-35 Hz, vastly improved theatre dynamics, and an even more open and spacious soundfield which benefits both music and film. Turned to REL’s NextGen5 amplifier, tuned to 800 watts, with huge reserves of power beyond this, added a light film of carbon fibre to the rear of the driver to handle the extra power, and developed two new sets of custom filters to extract the utmost in brute force and spaciousness. Finally, imbued 812 with the ability to be stacked in 4- or 6-unit line arrays.

Brand-new drivers, tailor-made for subwoofers Subwoofers need a different balance from their drivers than stereo speakers. That’s why the Sub 6 uses Dynaudio’s new MSP+ Hybrid Drive units, which are made primarily from aluminium for stiffness, and specifically with subwoofers in mind. To counter ringing from the aluminium, it utilises a dual-action damping system that combines paper dampening on the back of the driver and Dynaudio’s own Magnesium Silicate Polymer material in a dampening cap on the front, ensuring the best performance.

At 500 watts the NextGen3 amplifier is borrowed from our former flagship model and produces huge reservoirs of power and current. The 20%+ increase in power (previous version was 400 watts) is needed to deliver the high output levels needed for modern theatre, as well as to produce the extremely deep bass in a high end 2-channel system. This increase in power is necessitated by our development on the musical front of an all-new circuit termed PerfectFilter™ that balance both frequency extremes.

PerfectFilter performs two seemingly disparate qualities; extending the strong, even response of the extreme low end of bass frequencies while simultaneously opening up air and delicacy in the middle and high frequencies of one’s system. Additionally, we applied customized PureTheatre™ filters to allow S/510 to keep up with modern theatre effects without breaking a sweat.

Predator is devastating when used in dedicated high powered home theater applications, but also transforms the serious gamer’s experience and partners beautifully with active wireless speakers for music reproduction. HT/1508 is a unique combination of lightweight, modern 15” CarbonGlas™ (380mm) driver, coupled to a powerful 800W linear power supply amp that runs cool, producing extraordinary dynamics and consumes merely 20 watts at idle. Internally, we developed specially adapted home theater input filters that produce extremely flat bass down into the low 20’s. 

REL designed the driver of the 1508 to be light and accurately reactive; theatre sound can and should be at times light, playful, funny and at times terrifying or awe-inspiring. Deep bass that reacts quickly and effortlessly to these changes during a film creates a much more satisfying experience of the medium than typical theatre subs can supply.

As with the entire HT range, Predator’s industrial design wastes nothing on ornamentation for its own sake and delivers a simple, yet satisfying, design that borrows themes of line-grained aluminium contrasting with a sophisticated, polished top surface. Instead of mere feet, Predator uses full depth rails necessary to better cope with the force it produces.

Beyond our proprietary drivers, the performance of a REL is determined by our unique input filters and amplifiers. S/5 SHO uses a simple filter-type that is very fast—about 8 milliseconds in group delay– to cross out unwanted higher frequencies to our driver. This speed and our carefully sorted filters allow for seamless blending of RELs with the main speakers. RELs do not include a high pass filter to cross out bass from the main speaker because to do so would generally produce more unwanted effects than the minor benefits such a design confers.

S/5 SHO’s power amplifier is a powerful NextGen2 550W digital amplifier. This design has powered thousands of RELs and has proven exceptionally reliable and very fast with deep, extended lows—it provides a perfect mate to our new driver.

Reliability is the key to happy ownership and with some 200,000 and counting of this range leading long happy lives, Serie T/x owners can feel certain of REL’s standard setting reliability. The powerful 200-watt mosfet amplifier used in the REL T7x remains an icon of sound and reliability with huge reserves of current. The internal amplifier is Lyngdorf Audio’s Class-D design based on more than 15 years of experience in designing audiophile Class-D amplifiers. With an output of 400 watts, it can deliver ample power to control the powerful 8” driver – even at high levels. The BW-3 is equipped with a long-throw driver mounted in an extremely compact enclosure. For the driver to work in such a compact cabinet, with only 7 l of internal volume, a custom unit was designed. The 8” woofer features a massive “motor,” which has an extremely fast response and high efficiency.
