Uses:- Asthma: The Aerocort inhaler is used to prevent and control asthma symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness.
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): It helps manage COPD symptoms and prevent flare-ups.
- Beclomethasone Dipropionate: This is an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid that reduces swelling and irritation in the airways, making it easier to breathe.
- Levosalbutamol: This is a short-acting beta-agonist (SABA) that works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, leading to bronchodilation and improved airflow.
- The usual dosage and frequency will be prescribed by a healthcare provider based on the individual's condition and response to treatment.
- Commonly, the dosage is one or two inhalations taken as needed to relieve symptoms or as prescribed for regular maintenance therapy.
- To use the Aerocort inhaler:
- Shake the inhaler well before use.
- Remove the cap and check the mouthpiece to ensure it is clean.
- Breathe out fully to empty your lungs.
- Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and close your lips around it.
- As you start to breathe in slowly and deeply, press down on the canister to release a dose of the medication.
- Hold your breath for about 10 seconds to allow the medication to reach deep into your lungs.
- Breathe out slowly.
- If a second inhalation is needed, wait for about a minute and repeat the steps.
