Supreme make phase shifting transformers are special transformers which provide convenient means to adjust phase angle (power factor) of a. C. Loading circuit while testing power factor sensitive device for the full 90 degree lag through '0' degree to 90 degree lead. Three such Variable Autotransformer when connected electrically in star & mechanically in tandem, became suitable for operations of 415 V 3 Phase A.C. supply & to give output of 0 – 415 V or upto 470 V.
