Rhinitis is when a reaction occurs that causes nasal congestion, colds, runny nose, sneezing, watering of eyes and itching. Most types of rhinitis are caused by an inflammation and are associated with symptoms in the eyes, ears, or throat. There are several types of rhinitis. The most common are acute rhinitis, which is usually caused by a viral illness, allergic or seasonal rhinitis, and nonallergic or year-round rhinitis. INGREDIENTS AND THEIR INDICATIONS
Ferrum phosphoricum 3X : The remedy for first stage of all febrile disturbances and inflammations before exudation sets in; especially for catarrhal affections of the respiratory tract; congestion of lungs, hacking cough. First stage of colds in the head. Predisposition to colds.
Natrum muriaticum 6X : Shortness of breath, Spasmodic cough with great liability to take cold. Great weakness and weariness. Violent, fluent coryza, lasting from one to three days, then changing into stoppage of nose, making breathing difficult. Discharge thin and watery, like raw white of egg. Violent sneezing coryza. Infallible for stopping a cold commencing with sneezing.
Kali sulphuricum 3X : Applicable to the later stages of inflammation; Post influenza cough in children; Croupy cough. Yellow, loose rattling mucous is coughed with difficulty and serous discharges, profuse and intermittent. Cold, with yellow, slimy expectoration. Nose obstructed. Smell lost. Engorgement of the nasal pharyngeal mucous membrane, mouth breathing, snoring, etc, remaining after removal of adenoids.
Kali muriaticum 3X : It certainly is of great value in catarrhal affections, in sub-acute inflammatory states; Expectoration sticky, milky or flies from the mouth; fibrinous exudations, and glandular swellings. Catarrh; phlegm white, thick. Stuffy cold. Nosebleed
Baptisia tinctoria 4X : Frontal headache with dull pain & pressure at root of nose. Bruised headache. Dull heavy sensation in head with drowsiness and heavy eyelids. Sneezing and feeling as after a severe cold; sensation of fulness, thick mucus from nose; right nostril stopped up; œdema of affected parts, esp. in choanæ.
Bryonia alba 4X : Inflamed and ulcerated nostrils. Coryza with shooting and aching in the forehead. Swelling of tip of nose, feels as if it would ulcerate when touched.
Causticum 6X : Coryza with hoarseness; sneezing in the morning. Thick yellow or greenish discharge; Nostrils ulcerated.
Eucalyptus globulus 3X : Nose.–Stuffed-up sensation; thin, watery coryza; nose does not stop running; sore throat; tension across the nose and tightness across bridge. Chronic catarrhal, purulent and fetid discharge. Ethmoid and frontal sinus involved.
Gelsemium sempervirens 6X : Sneezing early morning; fullness at root of nose. Dryness of nasal fossæ. Swelling of turbinates. Watery, excoriating discharge. Disposition to catch colds with every change of weather; Acute coryza, with dull headache and fever; coryza with influenza.
Sabadilla 6X : Action on mucous membrane of the nose and the lachrymal glands, producing coryza and symptoms like hay-fever. Spasmodic sneezing, with running nose. Coryza, with severe frontal pains and redness of eyes and lachrymation. Copious, watery, nasal discharge; Fluent coryza worse from the odor of flowers; oversensitive to odors; Dry itching tickling in nose.
