A system of physical conditioning which involves vigorous sustained rhythmic routine of exercise, help in weight reduction, flexibility, figure correction etc. Students will learn the importance of exercise as well as how to live a healthy lifestyle now and for future well-being. Students will develop personal fitness goals and compare and contrast those goals throughout the year.
Nutrition education will also be a component of this course. Students will be expected to design and implement some fitness routines during the course of the year.
It is broadly categorized into : DANCE AEROBICS - An exciting, healthy and motivating way to get in shape and stay fit. GYMNASTICS AEROBICS - Competitive aerobics involving complicated choreography and acrobatic elements of aerobics. FREESTYLE AEROBICS - Here a group instructor choreographs several short dance combinations and introduces it into the class. STEP AEROBICS – A form distinguished from other types of aerobics exercise by its use of an elevated platform. WATER AEROBICS – Also known as “Aqua Aerobics”, is the performance of aerobics exercise in shallow water such as a “Swimming Pool”.
Health benefits and diseases cured by aerobics : The benefits of aerobics can be divided into FITNESS and HEALTH. Most form of aerobics will help you achieve both. Lack of oxygen at the cellular level lead towards diseases. Aerobics helps the entire cardiovascular system to process and deliver oxygen more quickly and efficiently to the body parts.
