INDICATIONS:

SKYCID SYP is an oral suspension containing a combination of Aluminium Hydroxide, Magnesium Hydroxide, and Simethicone.  It is used to relieve symptoms of acidity, gas, and digestive discomfort. 

Composition

  • Aluminium Hydroxide: Antacid that neutralizes stomach acid. 

  • Magnesium Hydroxide: Fast-acting antacid that also neutralizes gastric acid. 

  • Simethicone: Anti-foaming agent that breaks down gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract. 

Typical strength per 5 mL:
Aluminium Hydroxide 250mg + Magnesium Hydroxide 250mg + Simethicone 50mg 

Uses

  • Heartburn, acidity, sour stomach

  • Indigestion (dyspepsia), bloating, gas

  • Gastritis, peptic ulcer symptoms

  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

  • Relief from abdominal distension and flatulence 

Dosage

  • Adults & children above 12 years: 10–20 mL after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a physician.

  • Shake well before use. 

  • Maximum duration: Do not use for more than 2 weeks without medical advice. 

Mechanism of Action

 

  • Aluminium and Magnesium Hydroxides neutralize excess stomach acid, providing rapid relief from acidity. 

  • Simethicone reduces surface tension of gas bubbles, allowing them to coalesce and be expelled easily, relieving bloating and discomfort.
