About

Amcos Floor Guard is a water based ultrafine polyurethane coating. It is specially formulated for exterior application viz; floor, pavement tiles, ceiling tiles etc. It has superior hardness and having good water, chemical and excellent uv resistance.It also has good antifungal properties.Amcos floor guard is designed with high performance additives to have excellent durability.

Surfaces Preperation

Surface should be free from dust, moisture, grease or loose particles. Any algal fungal growth should be properly removed and cleaned with bio wash to prevent the growth.For cementetious surfaces, cracks should be properly sealed (Hairline cracks using Amcos Master Seal, cracks up to 2 mm using Amcos Seal ans Fill and racks above 2 mm should be addressed by civil maintenance work).

Always check the adhesion and compatability on a small area.
Ensure that the surface is prepared well before starting the application.

Points to Note

Mix well before use
It is advisable to strain before application
Actual coverage may vary depending upon the method and conditions of application, surface conditions, application skill, surface roughness and porosity, selected shades etc.
Stability of thinned paint - 24 hours.
Darker shades may require an additional coat for complete coverage.
Hairline cracks can be filled by Amcos Master Seal. Cracks up to 2 mm can be filled by Amcos Seal and Fill. Cracks above 2 mm should be addressed by civil work.
Recoat period is quoted for 25°c and 50% relative humidity, these may vary under different conditions.
The paint film required at least one week time for complete curing under normal atmospheric conditions.
Actual paint shade may slightly vary from printed shade card .
It is advisable to check and maintain the diluted paints consistency in certain intervals based on atmospheric conditions to avoid application issues such as poor finish and less coverage due to solvent evaporation.
Keep the container tightly closed after opening to prevent drying.
Shelf life: 3 years from date of manufacture in original tightly closed containers away from direct sunlight and excessive heat

Safety

Wear masks, gloves, safety goggles and protective clothing while handling and application of paint.
Keep out of reach of children and away from eatables.
Store paints away from direct sunlight, heat open fire & water.
Do not pour the leftover paints in drains. Dispose off the paint left overs and containers as per local regulations.
Splashes on skin should be cleaned with a suitable solvent, washed off with soap and water.
In case of any accidental ingestion or contact with eye, seek immediate medical attention.
Lead content does not exceed 90 ppm.

Directions Of use

For better adhesion and long durability, it is highly recommended to apply one self prime coat of Amcos Floor Guard
with 50% dilution.
Mix well Amcos Floor Guard with water in recommended dilution ratio. Apply first coat and allow to dry for 4-6 hours. After complete drying, apply second coat of Amcos Floor Guard and allow to dry.
