Lazydays in Goa Ltd is a specialist holiday company offering short -term rentals of high quality villas and apartments in Goa.
1995
The business was set up in 1995 by Linda Guthrie and Sue Watkins to offer an alternative to the standard hotel and guest-house holiday available in Goa coupled with quality, sustainable, low impact tourism.
1996-2002
Lazydays in Goa became a limited company in 1996, received approval, the following year, for full merchanting facilities and is able to accept payments made with all major credit cards. In 1999 the company launched its own website and has developed a Privacy Statement to protect customers' personal details.
By summer 2002 it had grown to 33 properties and a full time sales office based in Bournemouth. John Bishop, our sales manager, had also joined the team.
2004- 2009
In 2004 a separate Indian Company, Essenelle Holiday Homes PVT Ltd was established to carry out sales, property management and customer services on a contract basis for Lazydays in Goa.
In 2009 a second website was launched aimed at the growing Indian domestic market and Sudha Mathew was recruited as Marketing and Sales Agent for the whole of India. Short stay holidays of 3-4 days were introduced.
2009-14 As the Indian market continued to grow, the company responded to the demands of Indian clients by adapting the basic concept of a self catering holiday to include extras such as a complimentary breakfast and complimentary airport transfers.
The company has also expanded its market with contracts with some major Travel and Tour companies and is offering villas to customers on inward bound tours of India
