DBEM10 Proportional Valves

Propotional pressure relief valve basically consists of pilot control valve with adjustment solenoid and main valve with main spool insert.

The adjustment of the pressure is command value dependent via a propotional solenoid.the pressure present in port A acts on thje underside of the main spool. at the samae time this pressure acts on the spring loaded side of the main spool via orifice s.the hydraulic force act on the pilot poppet when the hydraulic force overcomes the solenoid force then the pilot poppet opens. due to the fact that the pilot oil can now flow to tank via port y, a presure drop occurs at the main spool which acts upon the main spool and lifts it aginst the forces of return spring.
