HSG:


HSG or Hysterosalpingography, an x-ray examination, is mainly used for examining women having difficulty in becoming pregnant. It allows radiologist to assess the structure and shape of uterus, fallopian tubes’ openness, and any scarring if there in peritoneal cavity. It helps analyzing abnormalities related to repeated miscarriages, tumor masses, uterine, adhesions, etc.

IVP:


An IVP (intravenous pyelogram), an x-ray examination, is done for kidneys, urinary bladder and ureters that utilizes iodinated contrast substance injected into veins. IVP aids physician in assessing abnormalities within urinary system, as well as patient’s ability to handle fluid waste.

This examination helps diagnose symptoms like pain in lower back or the side, or blood in urine.

RGU / MCU:


RGU (Radio Diagnosis Ascending Urethrogram) is special x-ray examination performed for evaluating urethra for ruling out abnormalities like stricture (narrowing), etc.
An MCU (Micturating Cystourethrogram) is an x-ray done for examining the functioning of the urinary tract and the kidneys for any abnormalities.

Barium Meals:


Barium swallow and barium meal tests help doctors to diagnose inflammation, ulcers or tumours in the oesophagus, stomach or duodenum.

A barium meals test is suggested if you have difficulty in swallowing, have reflux or chest pain, severe indigestion, unexplained vomiting, pain in abdomen, or blood in stool.
