EHV cables are used for electric power transmission at extra high voltage.
Extra High Voltage cables are designed for 66 KV & above. Available with aluminum & copper conductor and various combination of metal sheath namely poly-aluminum sheath / lead sheath / aluminum sheath in combination with or without copper wire screens.
Extra High Voltage XLPE cables (66 KV to 220 KV) manufactured with VCV (Vertical Continious Vulcanization technology and dry cure cry cool process ensures excellent concentricity and compact insulation with perfect contact between the layers and superior thermo mechanical and electrical properties.These cables meet the demand of Power transmission at low transmission losses.The cables are gaining popularity in metro cities, where power transmission through overhead lines in becoming more and more difficult.
