Suitable for demonstrating the construction and functioning of different types of D.C. machines and A.C. machines (single phase and three phases). Should be complete with friction brake dynamometer, instrument panel and power supply units. Machines should be strictly copper wounded.
It shall help the students to understand the constructional details and working principle of various AC/DC motors and generators.
Constructional Details:
The kit shall made of well machine M.S.12 mm thick plate. The plate should be fitted on M.S. 'C' channel. The bearing housing shall be split type and prepared from aluminum casting.
A) STATOR:-
Six separate stators shall be provided.
Stator No. 1:- Consisting of two filed poles with coils of shunt and series field inter pole shall be provided with coils interconnected. The terminals of field coils should be brought out on the top of stator.
Stator No.2 :- Consisting of A.C. stator with multiple slots having three phase winding Only six terminals shall be provided on the top of the stator
Stator No.3:- Consisting of A.C. single phase stator for capacitor start motor with provision of centrifugal switch arrangement.
Stator No.4 :- Consisting of A.C. three phase stator winding for slipring motor and alternator Six terminals should brought out.
Stator No.5 :- Consisting of field poles and field winding for rotary convertor & invertors.
Stator No. 6:- Consisting of A.C. 3 phase stator for alternator (Rotating field)
B) ROTORS:- Six separate rotors shall be provided as given below:-
ROTOR NO.1:- Armature for D.C.motors and generators
ROTOR NO.2:- Squirrel cage type rotor for three phase motor.
ROTOR NO.3:- Squirrel cage type rotor for single phase motor with centrifugal device arrangement
ROTOR NO.4:- Three phase wound rotor with four slipring to be used for three phase alternator and slipring induction motor.
ROTOR NO.5:- Rotor for three phase rotary convertor and invertor.
ROTOR NO.6:- Sailent pole type rotor provided with field coils to be used for rotating field type alternator.
C) POWER SUPPLY :- Two separate panel boards to be provided as given below :
Power panel board No.1:- This panel shall made of MS cabinet with incoming mains, three phase 415 V, 50 Hz, A.C. & out going three phase 0 to 110 Volts,50 Hz, A.C. regulated by three phase auto transformers, Panel board mounting accessories, fuses, indicating lamps , On/Off rotary switch, Digital voltmeter, 0 to 150 V, 96 x 96 mm size. Digital Ammeter 0 to 5 Amp, 96 x 96 mm size Bakelite terminals Heavy duty should be provided for input and output supply connection. All accessories and meters shall be connected internally.
Power panel board No.2:- This shall made of MS cabinet with incoming mains, single phase 230 V, 50 Hz, A.C. out going 0 to 110 Volts 50 Hz & 110V.D.C. Output AC/DC regulated by auto transformer, Panel board mounting accessories, fuses, indicating lamps , On/Off rotary switch Digital voltmeter, 0 to 150 V, 96 x 96 mm size AC type. Digital Ammeter 0 to 5 Amp. DC 96 x 96 mm size . Bakelite terminals should be provided for incoming and outgoing supply. All accessories and meters should be internally connected
