Light Transmission :
High-resistancepigments(opal,bronze and green) are added to thepolycarbonate to achieve different lighttransmission values. For values see thetable on page 10.
Solar Factor :
The solar factor is closely linked to thesheet structure.It is the ratio, expressed as a percent-age, between the total energy transmit-ted to the inside and total solar radiation.
Heat loss is normally defined asthermal transmittance and referred toin physics as the “U-value”.It is the rate of heat loss through aunitary surface per degree centigrade difference in temperature betweenthe two sides and depends on theproperties of the material of whichthe structure is made and the linearthermal transmittance conditions.
Policarb®sheets have Class 1 type ap-proval and meet the EuroClass B-s1,d0fire rating.
Lock Washers :
The sheets must be fastened to thestructure using specific washers witha seal to guarantee a watertight finishand allow the material to expand dueto changes in temperature.
Policarb®sheets can be suppliedwelded at their ends, (up to 10mm th.)ensuring throughout time the cleanli-ness on the inside of the cells andgreater transparency.
