Apar’s Uniflex Cables Division is a leading manufacturer of Electrical & Telecommunication cables in India and has been serving its customers since the year 1981 with its wide range of cables. The cable division has 2 plants located at Umbergaon and at Khatalwad (distance between plants about 20 Km) both of them in Gujarat State, India, just 150 kms from Mumbai and is well equipped with advanced manufacturing & testing facilities. The company has set up an Electron Beam Irradiation facility at Khatalwad with 2 E-Beam accelerators of 1.50 MeV and 3.0 MeV with under beam handling system for a wide range of cables and also to handle various other products like Heat Shrink Tubes & components, PE Pipes, Medical products for Sterlization, Gems & Diamonds, Laminated tubes, HDPE pipes up to 200 mm, Reprocessing of PTFE, Packaging and Foam PE sheets etc. This division supplies its cables to various industry segments in India viz., Power Utilities, Petrochemicals, Steel, Cement, Nuclear Power, Defence, Telecommunication, Metros, and Shipbuilding etc. It has accreditation from various consultants and clients like Mazagaon Docks, DRDO, Navy, EIL, IOCL, BPCL, HPCL, MRPL, Toyo Engg, Uhde, Mott Macdonald, PDIL, SAIL, Tata Power, CPRO, RDSO, NPCIL, Suzlon, Gamesa, ABB, Siemens, L&T, Crompton etc. It exports over 25% of its production of various cables to several countries in the Middle East and African continent. The cable division manufacturing facility is accredited with ISO 9001:2008 by DEKRA (NVT KEMA). The cable division has also been accredited with “EXPORT HOUSE” status by ministry of commerce and industry. This cable division was initially incorporated as Uniflex Cables Limited (UCL) in the year 1991. After the amalgamation of UCL with the Company in 2012, the division is carrying its business under the name & style as “Apar Industries Limited (Unit: Uniflex Cables).
