Micro Concrete - Avcrete MC 40 is highly suitable for large section repairs in excess of 50mm deep. It is super fluid microconcrete with low permeability. Avcrete MC 40 is a pre-mixed, flowable micro-concrete designed to be a single-component, cementitious repair mortar with enhanced strength properties. It is used specifically for repairing damaged concrete surfaces, particularly in areas that are difficult to access. The formulation of Avcrete MC 40 includes cement, graded aggregates, and special additives to enhance its performance. This product is capable of being applied in thicknesses of up to 100 mm. The application methods include using a trowel, knife, hand, or pump. For thicker repairs, additional layers can be applied in a repeated manner. Avcrete MC 40 serves as a pre-mixed mortar solution for concrete repairs and structural strengthening projects.

Preparation:
* Rigid, tight formwork should be used with properly sealed faces to prevent loss of material and to make sure that no water is absorbed from the repair material
* Drainage outlets should be included in the formwork for pre-soaking
* There should be a provision for air venting
* There should be suitable access points to pour or pump the mixed micro-concrete into place
* Break out the complete repair area to a minimum depth of 50mm
* Remove ant dust, unsound or surface contamination from the surface
* The surface must be roughened and any laitance must be removed by hacking, chipping or sand / grit-blasting
* Expose fully any corroded steel in the repair area and remove all corrosion deposits Steel should be cleaned to a bright condition
Precautions:
* Shutter or material should not be vibrated
* Light, but not excessive tapping of the shutters is permitted
