Product Description

MonoProof CW is a unique chemical treatment for the waterproof ing, protection and repair of concrete.
MonoProof CW is the most chemically active product within the MonoProof Crystalline Waterproofing System. When mix with water, this light grey powder is applied as a cementitious slurry coat to above-grade or below-grade concrete, either as a single coat or as the first of a two-coat application.
It is also mixed in Dry-Pac form for sealing strips at construction joints, or for the repairing of cracks, faulty construction joints and honeycombs.
MonoProof CW prevents the penetration of water and other liquids from any direction by causing a catalytic reaction that produces a non-soluble crystalline formation within the pores and capillary tracts of concrete and cement-based materialsWhen MonoProof Crystalline Waterproofing is applied to a concrete surface the active chemicals combine with the free lime and moisture present in the capillary tract, to form insoluble crystalline complexes.
These crystals block the capillaries and minor shrinkage cracks in the concrete to prevent any further water ingress (even under pressure).
However, the MonoProof Crystalline Waterproofing layer will still allow the passage of water vapor through the structure (i.e. the concrete will still be able to "breathe").
In addition to waterproofing the structure, MonoProof Crystalline Waterproofing protects concrete against sea water, waste water, aggressive ground water and certain chemical solutions
