Description:

Neomol IVG Paracetamol Infusion I.P. is a sterile, pyrogen-free, non-alcoholic solution of paracetamol (10 mg/mL) for intravenous infusion. It comes in 100 mL glass vials and is intended for short-term treatment of moderate pain and fever, especially following surgery or when oral administration is not possible.

Composition:

• Each 100 mL vial contains:
  • Paracetamol - 1.0 g
  • Sodium Chloride - 0.9 g
  • Water for Injection - q.s.

Dosage and Administration:

• Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on individual needs and condition.
• Adults and children older than 12 years: 500mg to 1g every 4-6 hours, up to a maximum of 4g per day.
• Children 2-12 years: 10-15mg/kg body weight every 4-6 hours, up to a maximum of 60mg/kg per day.
• Not recommended for infants under 2 years of age.
• The infusion should be administered over a period of 15-30 minutes.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to paracetamol or any of the excipients.
• Severe liver or kidney disease.
• Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency.

Precautions:

• Use with caution in patients with mild to moderate liver or kidney disease.
• Monitor for potential adverse reactions, such as hypersensitivity reactions, skin rash, nausea, and vomiting.

Storage:
