In the year 1988, Kerudi Hospital stared General surgery and Obstetric & Gynaecological services in a rented building with 20 beds.
By 1994, the hospital shifted to new spacious premises. With 50 beds, the hospital provided Surgical, Medical, Obstetric & Gynaecological services. Since then, the hospital has consistently kept pace with the developments in the medical arena.
Over the years new specialities were added, facilities were upgraded and hi-technology machines were introduced. The Scan & Diagnostic Centre opened in the year 2000 with a view to provide accurate, fast and a complete range of investigations.
Today Kerudi Hospital & Research Centre has a bed strength of 140 and provides multi-speciality services.
Housed in a spacious 45,000 sq. ft. area, it provides a full range of multidisciplinary health care & Trauma services, keyhole surgeries, complicated surgeries ALL UNDER ONE ROOF. Kerudi Hospital has been successful in bringing cutting-edge technology, expertise & experience to the suburban and rural part of Karnataka & has put a stop to the movement of patients to costlier urban areas.
Since inception, Kerudi uses hi-technology and the latest equipment to provide quality care at affordable prices. Laparoscopic surgeries were introduced in 1992. Currently, three chip video camera, medical grade monitors, Xenon light source, harmonic scalpel, ligature vessel sealing system are used to do laparoscopic surgeries. Laparoscopic appendicectomy is done at a package cost of Rs. 7500 only (excluding medicines). The charges are very affordable for other laparoscopic surgeries as well.
