S. Mohinder Singh and S.Amarjit Singh have born in the family of S.Darshan Singh and Smt. Sujan Kaur. From the beginning both have been ambitious and intelligent and they have completed their graduation from S.D. College, Ambala.
They incorporated Gagan Coal Company in 1993.Earlier they used to supply natural coal from Jharia in Jharkhand.Both are visionary and could fosee that in the year to come the key to success was diversification. So, in the year 2000 Gagan Coal Company got itself registered with Reliance Industries Ltd. for the supply of pet coke and within a short span of time the Company became a Leading Coal Handling Agent in India, catering to almost 1,500 Industrial units of India.
The entire turnover of Gagan's Group in the year 2009-2010 was around Rs. 350 crores. S. Mohinder Singh and S. Amarjit Singh are having vast experience in the coal distributorship, manufacturing and trading of coal/pet coke. Gagan Coal Co. has its offices in Ambala, Ludhiana, Panipat, Faridabad, Surat, and Jamnagar to ensure best services to its customers. Currently, Gagan Coal Co. is the largest seller of Pet Coke in India.
Gagan Coal Company is already registered with Central Excise Department for the benefits of customers getting Modvat from Excise Department. It is endeavor of the company to transact its entire business online to save the time of its customers. The second generation of S.Mohinder Singh and S.Amarjit singh, S. Davinder Singh (nephew) son of Late Surjeet Singh is handling this business of petroleum coke, who has inherited the vision and entrepreneurship from his father and uncle.
