Power Systems Educational Course

BBIT announces launching of M. Tech. in Power Systems from the Department of Electrical Engineering

With great pleasure and pride, we announce a new M. Tech. course in Power Systems from our Department of Electrical Engineering (EE). This is a long awaited dream come true, because when we started our B. Tech. course in Electrical Engineering way back in 2009, we had the dream to open an M. Tech. course from the EE Department.

The task was not easy, because we had to cross two tough hurdles: NAAC accreditation and NBA qualifier. Only a few institutes in the country have both these ‘feathers in their crown’.

BBIT was accorded with NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accreditation in September, 2016. This was followed by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) accreditation for our B. Tech. programme in Electrical Engineering in April, 2017. These achievements motivated us to put in our effort for a post graduate programme in Electrical Engineering. Also the NBA accreditation made us eligible to go for an M. Tech. programme from our Electrical Engineering Department. We got approval for this course for 30 (thirty) students, both from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), formerly known as WBUT) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

From this academic session 2018-19, we offer an M. Tech. programme in Power Systems. Students enrolling in this 2-year course will be able to enrich their knowledge in the domain of Power Systems in general.
