Metallic Floor Hardener also known as POWER cube-IFS-Metallic Benefits Durable hardwearing surface. Excellent resistance to abrasion and impact. Uses:
- POWER cube- IFS-Metallic can be used for application to new concrete floor or for repairs to existing floors, which have been damaged or excessively worn.
Description:
- POWER cube- IFS-Metallic is a screed able, iron aggregate cementitious system which is designed to provide a thin, high strength topping for repairing surfaces subjected to heavy traffic and abrasion. It is formulated for application at thickness of 8 to 10mm for single layer. The thickness can be increased to 15 - 20mm by applying second layer on the cement slurry. (Ensure the bond between top and bottom layer with cement slurry). Thin high strength topping can be placed where application of metallic aggregates is not practical or does not require heavy duty protection of thick metallic toppings.
Curing:
* After final toweling, as soon as the surface has hardened sufficiently, to prevent damage, it should be covered with a polythene sheet and made air tight by placing sand all round the sheet for a minimum period of 7 days. Alternatively curing by ponding is recommended for a minimum 7 days.
Surface Sealing:
* If surface sealing is thought to be necessary, two coats of epoxy clear floor sealer may be applied for added protection against penetration of oils, grease, water and mild chemicals. Or alternatively, two coats of epoxy floor coating can be applied to provide further protection to concrete surface apart from aesthetic appearance. A separate data sheet is available on the above products.
Joints:
* All expansion joints must be filled with sealant. The saw cut construction joints may be filled with epoxy resin.
Application:
* Progress should be steady and even with the application hose discharge point approximately 200mm from the floor. Do not make new edges & fill in the middle.
