About the Company
Strike One Cmptr Centre(SOCC) was est in 2002 under the guidance of the then Corps Cdr Lt Gen JJ Singh, AVSM,VSM. It started with a mission of “IT Literate Army/Def Forces” to empower the troops and their families. Gradually the Institute started gaining popularity and a branch was opened at Hoshiyar Singh Enclave in 2008. And therafter at Bhopal and Vadodra in 2013. The main branch at its small location during 2009 was unable to handle the strength of students and it had to shift to its present location, (opposite of Strike 1 URC, CSD Canteen), which has around an acre of area with 14 rooms. Classes on “Spoken English” and on “Personality Development” were introduced in 2007. This new location was inaugurated by the then Regional President, AWWA, Strike 1 Mrs Bulbul Ghosh, in the year 2009. Strike 1 Computer Centre uses simple, unique and innovative tools to impart education to students. Special focus is being given to ensure that the courses are easy to learn. Examples and exercises that are used, relate to daily life. Classes are conducted five days a week. Saturday is meant for the conduct of workshop on “Personality Development” and for “Self Practice” on computers. |
