We bring forth for our clients Quassia Amara, which is imported in large logs varying from a foot or more in diameter and 1 to 8 feet in length. The stem is split into quarters, retaining a friable and feebly attached cortex that has the same medicinal qualities as the wood. Close grained and white, the wood is tough but changes its colour to yellow on contact with the air.

Some characteristic features of different parts of the tree are:
- Can grow upto 50 to 100 feet

- Erect stem over 3 feet in diameter
* Smooth, greyish, odorless and very bitter bark is thin and transversed by reticulating lines
* Leaves alternate, unequally pinnate, leaflets opposite, oblong, acuminate, and unequal at the base
* Flowers small pale yellowish green, blooming October and November
