iWave presents SODIMM SOM Module for Renesas’ RZ/G1E MPU
Bangalore, India - July 21, 2016: iWave Systems, a leading embedded product solution provider company, launched yet another System On Module using Renesas Electronics’ latest RZ/G1E MPU. The new SOM is an addition to the company’s growing RZ/G-based SOM roadmap following to its earlier RZ/G1M and RZ/G1N based multi core ARM® Cortex® A15 based SOM modules.
The RZ/G1E System On Module (SOM) is based on the RZ/G1E with dual ARM Cortex A7 CPU cores running up to 1GHz speed. The RZ/G1E module features 1080p HD Video Encoding/Decoding, 3-D graphics, Gigabit Ethernet and two-channel video input etc. With compact 67.6mm x 37mm SODIMM form factor, the RZ/G1E System On Module supports 512MB DDR3 RAM which can be expandable up to 2GB and supports on-SOM 4GB eMMC flash which is also expandable. The module is supported with -40°C to +85°C industrial operating temperature and enabled with Linux 3.10.31 BSP support. For quick prototyping and time to market, iWave supportsRZ/G1E development kit which includes RZ/G1E SOM with Pico ITX form factor carrier board. The carrier board supports various on-board peripheral connectors to validate all the RZ/G1E MPU features.
