Depending upon the nature of application, materials of construction for the pump and motor components are selected. The construction is either in bronze or stainless steel/super duplex stainless steel. We specialize in tailor made solutions to suit the specific requirements of the customer.
Seawater, which may be chlorinated and include impurities (brine, oil, sand) is amongst the toughest liquids to handle. This needs pumps constructed either in bronze or special stainless steel.
General Construction of the pump and the motor. The multistage centrifugal submersible pumps have dynamically balanced impeller of mixed flow/radial design. All bearings are water lubricated and well protected from sand and other suspended particles.
The non-return valve is located at the top of the pump. In the discharge outlet, flow is streamlined for minimum friction. Pumps are supplied with either screwed or flanged outlet connections.
The pump suction housing (between the pump and motor) is guarded by a perforated strainer to prevent the entry of suspended particulate matter in the water. A cable guard is provided to prevent damage to the submersible cable exiting from the motor. Motor
Atalanta submersible motors are 2 pole asynchronous wet squirrel cage induction motors that are water cooled and lubricated. The motor body is made of stainless steel 304/316 and the motor ends are either in bronze/ss316l/s. D. S. S. Material.
Tilting pad type thrust bearing is specially designed to withstand high values of axial thrust loads with minimum wear and tear. The stator windings are re-wirable and water cooled. The bearings are made of composites/polymer/rubber lined stainless steel.
The motor is provided with a reflux pressure-compensating device, to guard against pressure variations. The current is fed through special cables, brought out of the motor through water-tight sealing glands and are protected by means of a metal sheet covering the length of the pump.
