SKF Cage Assemblies Needle Roller
Brand | SKF |
Fatigue Load Limit | 0.134 kN |
Reference Speed | 40000 r/min |
Limiting Speed | 45000 r/min |
Basic Static Load Rating | 1.34 kN |
SKF needle roller and cage assemblies are self-contained, ready-to-mount bearings. In applications where the shaft and housing bore can serve as raceways, the assemblies can be used to create bearing arrangements that require minimal radial space.
Designs and variants
Basic design bearings (series designation K)
- single row design (fig. 1, no designation suffix)
- double row design (fig. 2, designation suffix ZW)
They are characterized by the following properties: * simple to mount and robust
* accurate roller guidance in the cage pockets
* good running performance
Other needle roller and cage assembliesNeedle roller and cage assemblies with a split cage can be used where raceways are recessed in the shaft (fig. 3).
Special needle roller and cage assemblies are used for the gudgeon (wrist) pin (fig. 4) and crankpin (crankshaft journal) (fig. 5) for connecting rods of internal combustion engines and compressors. They provide excellent service in spite of rapid accelerations, elevated temperatures, unfavourable load, and poor lubrication conditions.For additional information about special sizes and designs, which are available on request, contact SKF.CagesSKF single row needle roller and cage assemblies are fitted with one of the cage designs shown in table 1.Double row needle roller and cage assemblies have a double row cage (fig. 2) in the same design as a single row cage.When used at high temperatures, some lubricants can have a detrimental effect on polyamide cages. Features and benefits
* Lowest cross section among rolling bearings
In applications where less space is available, needle roller and cage assemblies offer a very compact solution.
* High load carrying capacity
Owing to their large number of rollers, needle roller and cage assemblies have a high load carrying capacity.
* High stiffness
Because of their large number of small-diameter rollers, needle roller and cage assemblies have high stiffness.
